I want to start by saying that I once was a big fan of Ironhorse Dental. They did my ortho about 17 years ago at their Overland Park location. When I got my braces off in 2008, they gave me a permanent bottom retainer. At my last cleaning appointment, the dental hygienist accidentally knocked my bottom retainer ofc with the cleaning equipment. I had never once had an issue with my bottom retainer in the 16.5 years I had it. After the hygienist knocked it off, they replaced it and I left. Soon after it being replaced, my tongue was becoming irritated by it. At my appointment today, I mentioned this and my hygienist said that it was due to a small amount of glue coming off the retainer and it has been rubbing my tongue. She mentioned that they could easily repair the glue but it would cost $99 for the repair. This confused me as the issue was caused by their error. I asked to speak to someone about this and she said that would be Dr. Laura. I waited about 20 minutes for her to get Dr. Laura. When she came back without Dr. Laura, she told me that Dr. Laura told her to tell me that I needed to pay the $99 repair fee because they didn’t charge me for the repair last time. I was very confused because they caused the issue last time when they knocked my retainer off, which then needed repaired. My hygienist, Adyson, was extremely rude and said that she couldn’t help me any further and that Dr. Laura was too busy to talk to me and no one else would talk to me. I will be moving my family to a new dentist that is more understanding and not just out for money.

I have 3 kids who all love this dentist office. My oldest was so scared before, and we were driving an hour away just for someone to work on her teeth. Others refused when she cried. Here we have no tears, and they actually like full-on love going!

I first went to IronHorse with an emergency dental situation. They saw me the same day that I called and took excellent care of me. Now that I am a regular patient, they greet me by name and know my daughter. Everyone in the office is so kind and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied with your experience. Dr. Julia is is so personable and kind, and also efficient in her work. I love this office.

Dr Julia was amazing! She made time in her busy day to replace a filling when I only had a cleaning scheduled. The staff was professional and friendly, making my experience A+++. I came back 2 weeks later to have an impression made for a night guard and Jordan made my day with her humor and kindness. In addition, I had a wonderful checkout at the front counter. My husband took my daughter in today for fillings, and I gotta say I'm so impressed! The first dentist we went 2 she was so scared and they couldn't do the procedure but at iron horse they got her in and got it done and she was so happy! Thank you guys so much for helping my daughter! She is excited to come back for another visit!!!!!
