Customer Reviews
This is a great dental practice and I have been thoroughly satisfied with everyone that is employed here. The care by the dental hygienist, Maya is outstanding. She educates and answers my questions. I have been to other dental care facilities and now believe I have found my niche. I applaud Ms Maya because I see her so often and she makes my “dental dread ? “ pleasurable!
Dr.Tien was awesome, she explained my options to me. And I appreciate that. We came up with a plan of action and I am happy with the results. Dr. Tien did a wonderful job. Celia always do a wonderful job with. She is a great hygiene. I always enjoy my visits.
Super kind staff and the dental hygienist who cared for me, Diana, was very informative and gentle with her care. I’ve been going here since 2021 and will continue to go indefinitely. Highly recommend!
My recent experience with University Dental Professionals highlighted serious shortcomings in their policies and communication practices. Despite attempting to clarify the situation, I was met with an unsatisfactory response that only exacerbated my frustration. When I received a call at 4:06 pm from a staff member inquiring about my attendance for the 4 pm appointment, I immediately communicated the traffic delay and estimated a minor delay of 3 to 5 minutes. However, upon arriving at the clinic at 4:15 pm—just 9 minutes past the phone call —I was informed that my appointment needed to be rescheduled due to the clinic's 10-minute tardiness policy. What was most concerning was the lack of transparency and communication regarding this policy. When I questioned why it wasn't mentioned during our phone conversation, the staff member couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation. This failure to communicate essential information reflects poorly on the clinic's professionalism and customer service standards. My experience with University Dental Professionals was deeply disappointing today. Improvement in policies and communication practices is imperative for the clinic to regain trust and credibility among its patients.
I generally do not leave reviews. I believe this might be my second. The truth is, I have tried to resolve my issues with this practice privately for over a year now. I share this to hopefully help others not end up in the same situation I did. They offer a “UDP Plan” that is meant to offset costs since insurance is challenging to use there. It sounds good initially but then they pad your bill with things that are not covered on the plan every single visit. They also do not tell you that these things are being added to your bill. Twice I have thought I was walking out without having to make additional payment and then they informed me that I owed over $150 for procedures I didn’t even know the hygienist was performing. If you do not have endless deep pockets to pay for dental care, this is probably not the place for you. However, if you can get past that… The biggest issue I have is with patient confidentiality. For some reason they started sending detailed bills for all of my visits to my father. I am an adult who covers her own medical costs. I found out because my dad kept making comments about the work I had done and how much money I owed. The final straw was when I sent a note regarding my personal finances and treatment plan and they forwarded it to my boyfriend and responded to his email instead of mine.
I could not be more pleased with my most recent visit to UDP. Nada was the best hygienist I've ever had a cleaning with. She was welcoming, professional, and really made it obvious that she cared about my comfort. Too many dental offices focus on quantity over quality and I am relieved to say that this is not the case here. Nada was careful to avoid any discomfort by checking if I was in any pain or if I needed any break. She explained each step of the cleaning and was happy to answer the many questions I had. I definitely came away with a better understanding of how to better care for my teeth moving forward and I look forward to my next visit. I did not get a deep cleaning but it was very thorough nonetheless. It’s obvious that she takes pride in her work and truly cares about her patients’ dental health. Highly recommend!
First of all the staff were truly amazing and so nice. They allowed me to come at times that were convenient for me and on top of that as long as I rescheduled the day of they didn’t charge me extra fees. The main desk reception Claudia, was very helpful and thoughtful and so considerate, she was even able to help me(alongside her manager) with a discount on my remaining balance because my insurance lapsed on me. They are truly the best dental professionals I’ve ever met. Highly recommend.
I have been a patient of University Dental Professionals for a few years now. While I would absolutely travel to Hyde Park to have them treat me, it is so wonderful having such high quality dental care within walking distance. I can’t say enough about every aspect of this practice from the intake process with Kim, the dental assistants to all of the doctors. Five out of five stars.
