Update: Liz from the office seems great, I'll rewrite this completely if she can whip these folks into shape . Update: I have received nothing but horrible service from everyone that isn't Doctor Massey, She's been excellent. I echo what others are saying about not being able to get a call back or even get through to anyone. I needed to see this doctor to get a sleep study done for my DOT physical. I didn't have a PCP to give me a recommendation at the time so I had to do the long wait to be seen as a new patient. When I finally met Dr Massey it was worth it. Everything went well as you can read below. The problem is I never heard back about the sleep study. I called and was told it was in Saint Luke's hands now. I finally ended up calling Saint Luke's and they told me they had faxed Swope Health back needing more information. Swope Health claims that never happened. By this point the referral was no longer good, so I had to be seen again, the doctor claimed she was putting it in "STAT", I believe she did this. I have called nearly every day since then. 99% of the phone calls are the same wait on hold for about 5 minutes and 15 seconds and then you go to voicemail I think I've had one voicemail returned in a month. Wednesday of this week I talked to a person I gave her all of my information and asked her to call me back when she was done with figuring out what was going on with the referral she said "uh, okay if I remember". How hard is it to leave yourself a note? Today is Friday, I went in person after once again leaving an unreturned voicemail. I was going to sit in the lobby until I got satisfaction. I spoke with a woman who I believe is the nurse, she told me she'd get right on this and get me information immediately by 5. As I'm writing this it's 5:04. I was never called. My work doctor, whom does the DOT physicals has told me I have no more time, my license is going to be derated and I could possibly lose my job if this doesn't work right. I don't know what to do. Something has to change here. This area needs good medical care and the fact that this one is as broken as it is shameful. I went to this location for the first time yesterday and everyone I dealt with on the health care side was amazing. The assistant that asked me a billion questions was nice and warm. Dr Massey though, she was excellent. Very warm and friendly. She answered all of my questions. The only reason I can't give this visit a 5 star is because when I was getting my labs done the woman sitting around the corner from the lab (I'm guessing in the check out position) was loudly taking what sounded like a personal call. It was super unprofessional and was quite annoying to not only myself but the nice woman taking my blood. I'm excited to start this journey with Dr Massey as my PCP.
This place is poorly managed. I have been bringing my uncle here for 2 1/2 years. Showed up today for bloodwork and they couldn’t do it and couldn’t tell me why they couldn’t do it. The doctor will tell you to come back in 6 months. They won’t let you schedule an appointment for 6 months. Only for 3 months so you have to remind yourself in 3 months to call up and schedule an appointment for 3 months out. This makes no sense. They still are sending meds to the wrong pharmacy after we have corrected it multiple times. I have to jump through hoops to schedule anything then when there’s an issue they don’t call you. You just show up and waste time and money from taking off work. I’m done with this poorly run place and would advise anyone else to look elsewhere for health care.
Receptionist was rude. Nurse was rude. Dr. didn't even try to help me. They yelled at me for being in pain. The list goes on and on. I don't even feel like detailing all of it but terrible.
They are connstantly changing my doctor. I just recently went for a well-woman check waited an hour and finally left with no care. I've had enough and will be looking for a better group of doctors at this point.
The worst medical establishment I have had the displeasure to experience. I will be switching my primary asap. Do not go here for your medical needs. NOONE answers the phone. It's not like they're super busy, I've been there a few times. Never get my refills right or pharmacist right. It's like pulling teeth to get an appointment. Last time was there I was told they couldn't give me a follow-up appointment scheduled because the Dr. would be on vacation so they would call me later to schedule me. That was 2 months ago and still no phone call. Tried calling this morning to get a prescription refill and NOONE answers the phone. I'm done with this establishment. D O N E
