Just moved to Philly. They told me I had many cavities after never hearing that before at previous dentist. Switched dentists and was told teeth were immaculate. Pretty sure they’re just trying to make money off of unnecessary work

I have been going to Society Hill Dental for over 10 years and, frankly, they just keep on getting better. The hygienists are all very professional, thorough and friendly and always looking out for the custome'rs comfort. The dentists are personable, explain what they are seeing and doing and what options you face. Then they bring the most up-to-date technologies and solutions to bear on your dental needs.

My first time visiting was a great experience! I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while and felt nervous about it, but my hygienist and the doctor were so accommodating and patiently answered all of my questions about future treatments and made sure I was comfortable. I didn’t feel rushed at all and the staff were very kind and inviting. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Many of my co-workers and I use this place (as it is covered by our work insurance). They consistently push for overpriced services (that will likely not be recommended if you get a second opinion at another dentist- as many of us have) I ended up getting some uncomplicated fillings from them and have been dealing with very painful sensitivity for months now. I have also been seen by another dentist every visit (which suggests high turnover) - Overall would not recommend.

I was a loyal customer for 8 years. The first 6 years were great. In the past two years, I’ve had THREE fillings fall out within 2 months of the procedure. The last time I got a cavity filling, I was also told I needed a mouth guard. This was unexpected, but I decided to trust them. Then 5 days later, the filling fell out, so I went to a different dentist to replace it. During that appointment, he confirmed my suspicion that there was no evidence of a need for a mouth guard. Society Hill Dental used to be amazing. Now, there is lots of turnover in their staff, shoddy work, and they clearly just are pushing a profit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wish I could go back two years to avoid potentially useless procedures and not have to endure 3 faulty fillings with no refund involved.
