I had an excellent experience with Dr. Cone at Nuance Dental Specialists. He was one of the friendliest doctors I’ve ever met. He listened to my concerns and suggested several options for me to consider. My immediate issue was resolved, and he also prepared me for potential future incidents since I live overseas and move around frequently. I truly appreciate his hands-on approach and professional advice, in addition to being so easy to communicate with. If anyone fears dental work, don’t worry—he will make the visit feel like going to your favorite coffee shop.

I can't say enough about Dr. Miles Cone and his wife Cornelia, at Nuance Dentistry. From the moment I stepped into their beautiful, professional office, I felt warmly welcomed by both of them. The space is immaculate, adorned with stunning photos of past clients, and equipped with state-of-the-art photography equipment that adds a very cool touch to the whole experience. Dr. Cone was the fourth professional I consulted for my chipped front tooth, which I damaged over a decade ago so the bonding was no longer effective. Additionally, the tooth next to it was showing some wear and tear over the years, and I was concerned about the narrowness of my bite. The three specialists I saw before Dr. Cone all recommended capping or veneering my top eight teeth to create a more aesthetic smile, with estimates over $20,000. However, Dr. Cone and Cornelia were so honest, interesting and down to earth that I immediately felt comfortable with them. Dr. Cone proposed a different approach: whitening my teeth to my liking and crowning only my front two teeth. He assured me that this would not only be more natural but also less invasive and costly. He also addressed my concern about wanting a broader smile with honesty, noting that the change wouldn't justify the time and expense. Wow, that is impressive.Throughout the process, Dr. Cone made me feel truly cared for—like receiving a warm hug. The results were beautiful, and the cost was minimal compared to the previous quotes I received. His honesty and passion for his work are evident; it’s super clear that he doesn’t need the business to pay bills—this is his true calling. This guy is talented. The cherry on top was the photo shoot after the procedure was completed. I’ve never felt comfortable in front of the camera, but Dr. Cone took the time to photograph his work with passion and precision. The photos turned out beautifully, and I’ve received countless compliments on my new real estate headshots. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found one of the best prosthodontists in the world right here in Portland, Maine. I absolutely recommend Dr. Cone, Cornelia, and their team at Nuance Dentistry. They are hands down the best!
