Leong Family Dental Reviews

This review isn't aimed at the Leong staff but at Dr. Kevin Leong. Today, my four-year-old had his six-month cleaning. Typically, he sees Kathy as his dental hygienist, but for some reason, Dr. Kevin was scheduled to clean my son's teeth today. I had my son sit back, and the Doctor began brushing his teeth without easing him into the procedure—he didn't introduce the tools, offer him a choice of flavored toothpaste, or give him glasses to block the bright light. Kathy usually does these things to help him mentally prepare.My son got upset when Dr. Kevin shoved a brush into his mouth. When I suggested he take it slow, Dr. Kevin thought my son was ready because he was lying in the chair. Unfortunately, Dr. Kevin completed only about 20% of the work; my son's teeth didn't get cleaned properly, yet I'll still receive a bill for an essentially incomplete visit.Dr. Kevin seems unprepared to handle young kids. He forgets that little ones need to be gradually introduced to things like an electric toothbrush and that those bright lights can be overwhelming.I hope Dr. Kevin can improve his approach or reconsider seeing small children. On a positive note, the rest of the staff is why I continue coming to this practice.

My husband and I saw different hygienists, but we both raved at the treatment of both. The dentist was helpful, friendly and encouraging. Even the staff worked together so we could have the same hygienists again next time! Very professional and friendly too.I'm glad we found the Leong Family Dental!
