Family Dentistry. Dr. Scott Brown DDS

While I have experience decent dental care at this office, I’m very disappointed in the way I was treated by the billing department and Dr. Brown. At the suggestion of the office I brought my son in for a cleaning which I didn’t realize was the 3rd visit for the year instead of the 2 that my insurance company pays for. As a result I was billed for my son’s cleaning out of pocket. When I asked them why they schedule 3 in a year knowing that my insurance company wouldn’t pay, they told me that was my problem. When I ask if someone could speak to the dr about settle for half the cost he refused and the manager said it was due and we wouldn’t be seen until it was paid. I’m very disappointed for the lack of consideration and I got the feeling it was all about the money with them. They have incorrectly quoted cost to me previously by over $1000 and I let it go but I would never go back now.

Do not waste your time. I have been a patient here for over a decade. It takes at least 5 months to get an appointment, only for you to get a call the day before telling you to reschedule. Happened to me twice. I was waiting for a full calendar year, until I've given up to look for a new provider. Save yourself the headache. Do not go here.

Here we go again. I've been coming to this place for at least 8 years or more but the last year or so has been the worst service ever expected from a perceived professional place of business. My last cleaning was in May '24. At the time, my next cleaning was scheduled for Sept.'24. What happens a week before my cleaning ? I get a "text" advising there was a scheduling issue and the need to reschedule. I called and the next availability was in December. After telling the staff member it's understandable issues occur but its unacceptable to wait months and tell me the week before, with the next opportunity being a few months away. I requested a supervisor call me back. No such luck. During the wait process, I get a text the same day, confirming an appointment for Decemebr that I didn't know about or agree to. I called back and told the 2nd staff member that I definitely didn't confirm an appointment because I didn't even confirm my work schedule with the previous staff member. The 2nd staff member proceeded to tell me that the person who made the appointment was unavailable upon request. I kept asking how the previous person could set me up for an appointment that I didn't confirm. The 2nd staff member told me that the person told her they misunderstood. So how could they tell you that if they were unavailable when I just asked to speak with them? The 2nd staff member then tells me that the person is in the same room and advised they must've misunderstood me. At this point, I just wanted a supervisor because the integrity of the workers was in question. At the time of this comment, today's date is Oct.12th and I have yet to receive a return call from a supervisor. I've called back each week since my initial phone call but a supervisor is never available. I've been told that emails to return my phone call have been sent to the officer manager but still no return call had been received. During one of my last attempt calls to the office, the staff member who took the call checked their sister location and found a sooner appointment for November '24. Something the 1st staff member didn't suggest or even try to do. I'm STILL waiting for a return call from a supervisor.

This place used to be great but has gone down hill.. I place cleaning appointments back in February for May they called me the day before and rescheduled for September because Scott brown had to attend his son’s graduation event . Then our appointment is tomorrow and they call me to reschedule because there will not be a hygienist there. One they got in quick and the next one couldn’t get into till January.. then don’t even have record of my husbands appointment even though they texted him twice and confirmed. So upset I can’t get my kids teeth cleaned for nothing.. I just called back and canceled all appointments with them .. definitely don’t really care about there customers for sure.. go somewhere else because they will just reschedule you for another time

I am so fortunate to be a patient at this practice. Dr. Johnson is my dentist and is absolutely the best there is. I had a terrible experience at another practice and I came to Dr. Johnson hoping he could reduce the damage done to my front teeth. Dr. Johnson not only repaired the damage, but gave me the most beautiful smile I have ever had. To say he changed my life is not an exaggeration, because a beautiful smile has done so much for my self-esteem. There is a kindness that flows throughout this practice starting with the front desk professionals, continuing with the dental assistants who are lovely, and then through Dr. Johnson. I will never forget how much they helped me and I highly recommend them for all your dental health needs.
