Customer Reviews
Dr. Dubberstein was fantastic and his assistant Joanna was a sweetheart. The process was quick and totally painless for retreating a root canal. He never made me feel rushed and took the time to answer all of my questions.
I had a very good experience from start to finish. Dr. Hilton was very knowledgeable and really breaks down his analysis in a comprehensive way. I felt very confident in his diagnosis and the root canal was fast and pain free. The staff were all very professional and kind.
These people have a pretty good insurance racket going on. They will tell you they are verifying your insurance and then come back with an "estimate." They will tell you to apply for Synchrony Care Credit. Then, when you come in, they want that account info, and they are going to charge what they should bill the insurance to your Care Credit instead. They will tell you that when the insurance pays, they will send you a check. The will say checks go out every week. If you call to request your money while waiting, they have a little attitude and tell you you'll get a check down the road. At one point, they told me it would take a week and a half to get my check after it was mailed. Every time you call, they delay the check a little more. I went right to my car after paying for my visit and called my insurance, which told me probably exactly what they told them is that they would pay my bill 100%. My insurance paid them on the 16th, which is what the 1st lady I talked to from Endo Assoc told me, but it was the 12th of the next month before I received a check from Endo Assoc. Probably the only reason I got paid back is that I stayed on them and checked on it. Sounds a bit like insurance fraud to me, but at the least, they used my money for a month, and they probably knew that insurance was going to pay it 100%. My suggestion is that when you get ready to pay, tell them that you'll give them the Care Credit Account after you get the card in the mail and that they need to try to get insurance to pay first. I have never seen a Dr or dentist use this shady practice. I, of course, won't ever be back.
I have an extreme fear of dental procedures, and this typically causes me to have panic attacks before and during my appointment. The staff and Dr. Dubberstein are more incredible than I could have asked for. I even considered doing root canal therapy without any sedation because of how comforting and nurturing they were every step of the way. I know I'm 'that' patient with the debilitating anxiety and panic, but they never made me feel that way. Everyone I came into contact with from the initial phone call to requesting records months later was friendly and helpful. I appreciate Dubberstein's patience and willingness to answer any and all questions, never rushing me or getting irritated. He was extremely knowledgeable and did incredible work. I hope to never need his services again, but he will be the only Endodontist I go to. I would highly recommend Endodontic Associates!
When initially calling to make my appointment, I asked if they accepted my insurance. I was told they did. I also inquired about the use of Nitrous for any X-Rays due to sensitivity. The receptionist advised they generally do not provide that for X-Rays. Today, the Hygienist was less than friendly and not empathetic when obtaining X-Rays. Dr. Hardy was nice and offered his suggestion for treatment. Upon checking out, I was charged $275 and then advised I most likely would not be reimbursed by my insurance due to them being Out-of-Network with my insurance. I asked why I had not been told this upon making my appointment. A woman, I'm assuming Office Manager, said, "Well, I did not make your appointment". I asked why I had not been advised of this prior to walking in the back, having X-Rays performed and having an evaluation done. They had more than two opportunities to tell me that they were Out-Of-Network, but failed to do so. This is unethical and poor business practice.
