Edit: (8/7/24) Not sure why it’s making me update my last review. My oldest went today for an extraction and after a bad experience with attempted numbing last time they scheduled him to be seen by the owners because now he has needle anxiety. We went 2 weeks ago for his routine cleaning and he had a baby tooth stuck with an adult tooth growing above it. He wouldn’t let them touch it that day so they scheduled him on a slow day where they could take their time and put him in his own room. Well today he was in and out in under a half he and they really took time to explain things to him and respect that he’s afraid of the numbing needle. Review from 2023: They just saw my 9yr old who has been going here since age 2. As always everyone was super friendly and helpful - especially the dentist as my son was almost in a panic attack about 2 baby teeth extractions. They talked to him, tried calming him and when that didn’t work - let me go back with him. We were able to get in and done in less than a half hr including numbing. Always an excellent experience here. Also the games out front always help! My two girls were also seen and love how patient and friendly the staff is.
We love Cavity Busters. My daughter has been going here since she was 6mos. old. and now she's 8 yrs old. There's no place else we see her going. ALL the staff are courteous and professional.
This place has too many patients to really devote much time to any of them. I was taking my kids here after we moved too far away to continue at our old dentist. They kept insisting the kids needed Xrays every 6 months, despite the fact the younger one had not started losing baby teeth yet. We would wait three hours in total, to have a dentist see them for about 15 mins. I started refusing the Xrays becuase of how long the appointments were taking and the lack of need for the younger one. I was very clear about what my problem with them was. Despite that, they had the nerve to try and get me to sign a notice that they'd call CPS on me if I refused again! That was the last straw. I took them to my dentist. My dentist was able to see both of them, including Xrays for the oldest, and take her time with them, go over what was and was not needed with me, and all told we only spent an hour there. These guys at Bresslers are just interested in billing insurance for as much as they can get away with.
The office staff I met when I first got there was extremely rude. She told me I needed a referral I explained that I got an authorization from my insurance company because I was not able to get my doctor to give a referral. When we called the day before they said that was fine. I asked to speak with the billing department she said they weren't there. I offered to have her speak with insurance company either she could call or I would call and she told me to call which I did then when I got them on the phone she refused to speak with them or even having them on speaker phone she refused to listen to what they were saying she finally called her billing department you know the one she said I wasn't able to talk to and they said I didn't have to pay anything today they would bill the insurance. Now I gave a 3 star review because other then this one person the doctor and the rest of the staff I spoke to were really nice and were able to have an adult conversation with me. My 6 year old was extremely scared and nervous and this one office assistant made her visit even more nerve racking then it needed to be. So yes the doctor was great but I highly recommend going to a different office since the office staff does not know how to be respectful of others.
Most recent appointment went smoothly and efficiently. They called my daughter back quickly, and we were done with our appointment in about 30 minutes. I'm only rating it a 3 because my daughter consistently complains about the staff in the back. I assume it's the hygienists who are not very nice and are harsh and abrupt with her. I know some children require a little sternness; however, if you're that annoyed and frustrated working in a pediatric dental office, maybe it's time to start looking for other employment. I guess this is why they don't allow parents to come back.
