Patient reviews present contrasting experiences at the dental office of Craig A. Murray, DDS. One patient, who reestablished services after visiting a larger provider, found Dr. Murray to be "honest in disclosure" and expressed confidence in his work. They also noted that his diagnosis proved to be "less costly" in comparison.
However, another patient who had been coming to "Murray Dental" for around five years shared a significantly negative experience. They mentioned being warned by "MANY people" to avoid Dr. Craig Murray after he took over his father's practice, with the perception that the office had declined. Initially, this patient ignored these warnings due to their loyalty to Roseann, the Hygienist. Their last appointment was unexpectedly rescheduled to a new hygienist without prior notification, although they ended up liking the new hygienist. A consistent issue for this patient was the "LONG" wait times for Dr. Craig Murray, which they had previously tolerated. However, their last visit was markedly different, as they described Dr. Murray's behavior as being that of a "complete A**hole," noting he was even "b*tchy to the Hygienist." This negative encounter led them to decide it was their "last appointment," regretting not heeding the earlier warnings. They also expressed the opinion that Dr. Murray is "money hungry" and "always recommend stuff that you don’t necessarily need," advising others to "Run from this dentist."
Based on these reviews, Craig A. Murray, DDS appears to offer honest diagnoses that may be less expensive, as reported by one patient. However, potential patients should be aware of serious concerns raised by a long-term patient regarding prolonged wait times, a perceived decline in Dr. Murray's professional demeanor, and accusations of recommending unnecessary treatments and prioritizing financial gain. Local users should consider these contrasting perspectives when deciding whether to seek dental care at this clinic.

Craig A. Murray, DDS Reviews
He does good work but a crook, he did a crown for me and it came out well, but couldn't due the fill in's because he was running behind with patients for the day and I had to schedule about 2 other appointments just to get the work completed which is not fair to me, I am a patient as well. He even shut all the lights off when he was going to lunch while I was still in the chair getting work done.In March I needed a crown and they said my portion was a certain amount so I paid it which was over what my portion was after insurance paid. I had a credit on the account and was never told I had a credit and it was never refunded. I forgot about an appointment and they billed me $35 for this missed appointment. When I called to talk to the office about it she said she was going to make an adjustment on the account and so now I only owed $12. At no point did anyone say you have a credit on the account and that is what we are applying it to your missed appointment fee. Also mind you my insurance paid them in march and my missed appointment was in May so I had a credit on the account for that long and no one ever refunded me my $. They made it seem as if they did me a favor and gave me a discount. On a separate occasion I went in because I had a hole in my tooth that I felt and was getting food stuck in it. He told me he didn't see anything but went on to tell me that I needed a deep cleaning. As the time passed the tooth started hurting even more and the hole got bigger, I called to schedule an appointment and they couldn't see me until the following week even though I was in pain. They recommended another dentist for me, the new dentist fit me in the next day and upon checking I needed a root canal that they could not save the tooth. I went to Dr. Murray because there was a hole in my tooth because I could feel it with my tongue but instead he told me I needed all these other things and my tooth just got worse. The tooth could have been saved but instead he dismissed it and I needed to come out another $600 + out of pocket for a root canal and another cap. I feel that all he's out for is $. Now there is a hold on my FSA card because he never refunded the amount I over paid in march and now I have to come out of pocket for it because they decided to keep my $. Mind you it is now Nov. and this is when I find out I had a credit on the account because I had to call them to get information.I find it ironic that I missed an appointment because I forgot, which happens, but I couldn't charge him for the time I had to take off of work to come back so he could finish something he should have finished in the first appointment. I am never going back to him. I need someone I can trust to be my dentist and I do not trust him at all.

Jul 02, 2019 · Darren OliverioCraig is less than half the dentist his father was. He is unprofessional in his approach to listening to his patients!
