Cal Dental Group Reviews
My experience at Cal Dental has been amazing. The staff are professional and make the process easy to understand while also being warm and friendly.I have always felt comfortable and taken care of by everyone in this officeThe equipment is top notch and all the staff have a deft and light touch when performing work.10 year old me would think I'm strange for saying this but I'm looking forward to my next visit!
Sep 16, 2024 · Wesley HidalgoI'm posting this more for my peace of mind than anything else, but I'm convinced that this place is dedicated to scamming people out of money.A month ago, while eating a salad, I accidentally bit my fork, which caused me tremendous pain, and the enamel on my tooth was scratched a little, so I decided to make an appointment at Cal Dental. Two days later I went to the appointment. When I arrived, a member of the staff started arguing with a client, which should have been a sign to get out of there, however, I continued with my process. The entire staff was friendly and professional as much as possible. They took me to get X-rays and then, to a consultation room where they took pictures of my teeth, after a few minutes the doctor arrived.Honestly, I didn't know what to expect I'm not an expert, but when I saw the x-rays and the photos on the screen in the consultation room I was calm, my teeth looked normal, I dare say they even looked healthy. When the doctor, who was very kind by the way, arrived she started to examine my teeth and ask me questions like: “On a scale of 1 to 10, how much does it hurt?”, my answer was “2”, she also performed a sensitivity test where my reaction was immediate, because she put something cold on my tooth, which caused a pulse of pain that made the doctor dictate to her assistant something like “patient suffers from extreme pain when tested for sensitivity or when touched” I don’t remember exactly but it seemed strange to me because I had told her that the pain I felt was low. After all this, she sat me down and said, we have to do 4 crowns (???) and 3 root canals because your front teeth are really bad, (???), about to fall out, and the two bottom ones too. When I heard this I started to cry, thinking that at 26 years old I was going to lose 4 of my teeth for biting a fork affected me a lot and the doctor, seeing me cry, replied: “I am very sorry to have to do this to you”, reflecting a little, I think it was another sign to get away from there. After all, the receptionist comes and explains the action plan to me. The whole procedure cost 9 thousand dollars but since I bought some kind of insurance with them they could lower it to something more than 7 thousand dollars, the sales tactic was to pressure me and make me feel that my teeth were not good enough for more, they wanted me to accept and sign everything right there and start “working”, I put it in quotes because I am convinced that the work is the scam and everything else is a side effect.I was still in shock and crying, watching the x-rays of my almost perfect teeth on the screen and not being able to believe that they had to remove 4 of them for something so small, I got up, left the office and told them I would call them.I never went back, I just asked for my x-rays so I could get a second and third opinion, which told me there was no way on Earth I needed such an invasive procedure.I am attaching a photo of my X-rays that was taken from Cal Dental.I still believe that there are good specialists and dentists out there and although it was hard for me to believe that someone would harm another person for the sake of making money, now I understand that there are also bad dentists and specialists waiting for the next victim, please, be careful.I am not the first person that this has happened to but I hope I can be the last.
Dec 06, 2024 · Alejandra AlvarezI’m usually nervous when going to dentist but this crew is AMAZING! Anna at front desk is incredibly sweet. Also hygienists are kind and thorough. Just finished a cleaning with Conrad and I felt welcomed and taken care of. Definitely recommend
Oct 15, 2024 · Joshua FloresHad to get a 2nd opinion after they quoted me $10k for necessary procedures (deep cleaning, root canal/crown, and cavities fill up). Moreover, they made me feel as if these procedures were urgent, with little empathy in regards to the cost. I understand it’s a business but 10K is not chump change for most. Got a 2nd opinion from a small dentist and got quoted $500.
Jan 04, 2025 · Jose KimI had the best experience with them. I went in for wisdom teeth surgery. They are honest dentists that had my best interest in mind. Everyone is so kind and friendly! Thank you for everything you did for me. I will definitely be back.
