Buffalo Grove orthodontists is simply the best! I was in need of another round of orthodontic treatment as an adult for a fairly complicated case. Dr Eltink has completed everything with ease. The staff is also amazing and so helpful! Especially Ashley and Rosalie! 10/10 recommend with no hesitation!

We had 3 of our teens go through this practice and they all have beautiful smiles! Thank you so much for your kindness, professionalism and clarity! Now my wife wants to get her “smile” fixed! That’s a testament to how great this practice is…

After 2 years at Weintraub and Eltink Orthodontics from Feb 2021 through Feb 2023, I’ve decided to write a comprehensive review on our experiences there with my 15 year old daughter and her invisalign. The new location is nice and clean. Dr. Eltink was nice and seemed experienced and knowledgeable. We did my son’s invisalign with my dentist, Aaron Appell. However, Appell don’t know how to use rubber bands to shift molars with invisalign for more severe cases. So we had to go to an ortho for her misaligned bite that required molar shifting. What I didn’t consider though, was the experience and expertise of his assistants. You will spend the vast majority of your time under the hands of the assistants, while he does a brief check on progress. This is pretty typical of all orthodontists. I’m not sure how traditional braces work here, but we ran into issues with invisalign with his assistants. And also, I had to deal with a rude and condescending receptionist. The main issue we had was the inexperience of the assistants who put on the attachments for invisalign. Some visits would take 45-60 minutes to replace attachments because the when assistant tried to put on the attachments, they kept falling off. At times it would fall off three times in one visit and so there were repeated attempts. Then right when we got home the attachment would fall right off again. When I called to make the next appointment, I brought up how it took an hour to put on the attachments and we were late to soccer practice. I wanted to get a more experienced assistant the next time we went in. I mentioned how other places were able to do it quicker, like my dentist, who did my son’s Invisalign. The receptionist (not Ashley, the other one) responded sarcastically and condescendingly to me - “Oh, so you’re an orthodontist now. Now you know everything. Your dentist doesn’t know anything.” The rude receptionist claimed that attachments always take a long time and one hour is typical. Lucas Orthodontics, competition down the street, told me their appointments take 30 minutes max, even if you have to replace three or four attachments. We had another incident where they forgot to give us a tray and blamed my daughter for losing it. At every appointment you are given the next 8 trays for the next 8 weeks. The trays are all attached to each other and put in a bag. My daughter has the bag in her nightstand and tears off the new tray for each week. When I called the office about the tray, they were like - “we don’t have it, your daughter lost it.” If you end up going here, always double check that you have all 8 trays before leaving the parking lot. We made the mistake of not double checking. Another time they almost didn’t give us one of the trays, but good thing the assistant double checked before we left and figured out they didn’t give us one of the trays. Lastly, we paid $500 for 3 retainers from this ortho. However, I know they didn't have to pay for them. When we did my son's invisalign with Appell, he told us he could get them at no cost and we were given all 3 extra retainers at no cost. While paying for the 3 extra retainers was optional with this ortho, when you have a teen, to only have 1 retainer and expect it to last you through the years was too much of a risk.

Our kids have been treated here and we are happy with results. But could you get wifi for those who are waiting and water would be nice too.

Every experience here is exceptional from the check in to the chair to the dr discussions. They make sure you understand every step along the way and are open and honest. I have three children all of which have had or are on a braces journey. We recommend this Weintraub and Eltink to all our friends!
