I have been afraid of the dentist since I was a little girl. Everyone in this office treats me like family and puts me at ease from the receptionists to the hygienist (Hi Anne). Dr Bruce and Dr Dan have always treated me quickly and professionally- with no pain and no anxiety. They are the best!!

I've been a patient of the "Matthews' Office since 2003." I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else... all of the "Dr. Matthews" are personable and take the time to make sure my teeth are in great shape. My girls (8 and 10) are now patients, and the only other dentist I would consider for them is Dr. Katie Matthews in Hockessin.

Added on October 22, 2024: As a patient at this practice for over 40 years, I recommend Dr Matthews office very highly. Another excellent visit with a caring and professional staff. As usual, excellent visit. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. I am always pleased with my cleaning and dental checkup. In addition, the office has now set up the ability to pay on line. This is a plus for me as I can pay for my visit quickly and effortlessly. Thanks. July 29, 2020 Even with all of the Covid 19 changes to all of our lives the staff at Dr Matthews office remains efficient, friendly and caring. There are new guidelines for the appointment, but a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out. Again an excellent visit and made my follow up appointment for 6 months. This dental practice has been and remains a 5 Star recommendation. November , 2018 Returned to this practice after a few years at another practice. Welcomed back by the entire staff. Excellent care from the hygienist. Brian Matthews went over my xrays and gave me great news "no cavities". Set up my next appointment for April. Glad to be back at this excellent dental practice. April 4, 2019 This recent visit to Dr. Matthews office was as usual pleasant and I was treated with the usual friendliness. Dr Matthew noticed a couple of issues during my check up and I have made another appointment to take care of these. December 17, 2019 Another check up at Dr. Matthews office, no issues to follow up on. The friendly and professional staff always greets you with a smile and excellent care. Thanks.E

Brian Matthews is fantastic! I have a tooth that had a root canal, my crown (who another dentist put on) fell off. He did an excellent job taking his time getting to know me, allowing me to tell my story, educating me on the topic. He taught me about the tooth, the root canal, the health of the tooth, the health of my gums, health of the bone, helped me understand the x Ray. I came in very anxious and concerned that I may need to have the tooth extracted and an implant put in. He was very calming, very kind, and helped me not only cement the crown back on my healthy tooth but helped put me at ease. The time with him couldn’t have gone better and his assistant as well as the person scheduling appointments couldn’t have been more helpful with helping me with the timing of when to come in (I had swallowed my crown and was searching for it), instructions on what to do with the crown, and caution about what to do incase I don’t find the crown. 10/10 recommend. I hope Brian and his staff continue to help people in this way. We need more people like this in the world. I felt they truly cared about me after just meeting me and I felt they genuinely wanted what was best for me. Very good people.

I am a new patient and was impressed with the professionalism and care that was provided. Tiffany did a thorough cleaning without any discomfort and Dr Mathews was great.
