I saw Dr Tran for a second opinion regarding gum grafting for recession. The first periodontist I saw said they wouldn’t be able to help me. After Dr Tran examined my teeth, he was confident that he could help me. He thoroughly explained the process and a month after surgery my gums look great. Dr Tran and his staff are all great to work with and I would 100% recommend this office.

I went to Dr. Tran for a second opinion after recently being told by my previous periodontist that they recommend an invasive surgery for an implant issue. I am so happy that I did the second opinion with Dr. Tran. He provided an in-depth explanation about the assessment of an implant vs a healthy tooth. I left the appointment feeling like I have a strong understanding of his treatment recommendations. Because of this second opinion, I am not doing an invasive surgery that can cause issues with my currently healthy surrounding teeth and gums. Something else that stood out to me is that Dr. Tran’s explanation of gentle hygiene contradicted what I’ve been told by other dental and periodontal providers. I learned proper flossing technique around the implant. I like that he is passionate about his work and also educates other dental providers about best practices. As a retired professional & volunteer firefighter / paramedic I learned to palpate the human body for valuable information on a daily basis for decades. Yesterday I underwent an oral examination included a palpitation of my teeth and gums that was without exception the best exam this 69 year old patient has ever had. When you use your fingers to ask for information you have to push with sufficient force to elicit feedback. Well done!
