Aspen Dental - Waterbury, CT Reviews
I haven't been to the dentist in a very long time so I was pretty anxious going in. I knew it was going to be bad, but I was sure everyone was gonna talk down to me about it. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very nice, supportive and reassuring. It helps make the anxiety of going to the dentist a little easier. Thank you Aspen staff. I'm looking forward to getting my dental health back under control again!
Jul 25, 2024 · MeganThere was slight confusion when I first walked in to the front desk. BUT... They took care of it right away and made me feel comfortable to be there. The woman who took my X-rays was amazing!! Friendly, kind, talkative with me and told me each thing she was going to do!! Loved that!! She was wonderful!! Then saw the Dr. He was kind, caring, explained everything he saw on my X-rays and I already knew I needed a procedure done so he told me about that. He was my second opinion. Then then the hygienist came in. Her name is Laura and she was fantastic! I am high anxiety and terrified of dentists and dental work due to previous bad dentists. She made me feel comfortable right off the bat, she could see the fear and the anxiety in my face when she walked in. She calmed me down and I had told her what my previous dentist had told me about my x-rays and having tremendous bone loss and basically scaring me into thinking I was going to lose my teeth. Laura was so kind and showed me on the x-rays how much bone loss I actually did have and explained it on a scale of 1 to 5. I have way less bone loss than what I was previously told. Laura then went around my teeth measured the pockets of my gums was very quick (as to not be so painful) gentle, and kind!! I loved her!! I do need an extensive procedure that is not covered by my insurance. So since I was paying out of pocket I saw the financial gentleman and he also was incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate!! We figured out my financial situation and I decided to definitely go with Aspen Dental for the extensive procedure that I need done. All around it was a very great experience! The front desk as I said in the beginning was a little iffy but they straightened it out quickly. Unfortunately Laura the hygienist is moving to the Danbury office. So I will be following her to have her do my procedure. I have an appointment in Danbury next week. They got me in so quickly as I have been suffering and pain. I am very grateful to all of them!!THANK YOU ASPEN DENTAL!! ❤️Chase Avenue Waterbury!!
May 31, 2024 · Audrey Cookoutstanding staff for minor dental needs. the office took my insurance but i needed an oral surgeon and he does not. i was given a quote of upwards of $4000 for my wisdom teeth removal, which unfortunately being a 20 year old was not in my budget. the staff were super helpful though getting my x-rays over to a different dentist! the customer service here is outstanding! the times that they’re open posted on google is wrong though. at this point in time they close early at 3
Jul 18, 2024 · Mia NormandA client requested a copy of their medical files in April and this office ignored multiple requests. A client called the office and was told she would be able to pick up her records. After arriving at the office, she was told that they no longer in office requests. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule requires health care providers to release medical records within 30 days of receiving a request. There is no excuse for a patient having to wait 120+ days. This office is in clear violation of federal statutes. In addition, the office staff was very aggressive and disrespectful. Stay away from this office unless you want to be disrespected and screamed at.
Aug 08, 2024 · Basboosa911I give this establishment a 0/10. I got a call at 8am asking and verifying my insurance or what I thought was a call to verify my insurance. I came in they asked for my insurance. I didn't have my physical card but I gave them the ID number, which I already did, prior to coming into the office. The assistant called me in, I took X-rays & then she sat me down to be seen by the doctor. After I sat down, front desk told me.. your insurance is out of network & you have to pay $287. I said🫢 ! Honestly speaking, I feel dental/medical offices always check your insurance prior to even doing work on you, so I was highly bamboozled by the statement that was being told to me. I said fine whatever, ill do a reimbursement form. Come to find out my insurance is not even giving me half of what they have charged for this poor exam. First off the doctor came in and left in a hurry. I spent about 30 mins waiting for her. She came in for 5 mins. She greeted herself to me, real fast. She asked me if I have any concerns, I told her my upper right premolars has sensitivity. She told me theres nothing there😐 and when she was looking, (with her eyes and fingers). she didn't even pick up her explorer to explorer my mouth. Literally rubbed her fingers across my tooth to look for cavities!! Im no dentist but, I thought dentistry gave dentist tools to help the patient.. but thats just my opinion. Anyways she kept telling me my x-rays indicated that I have caries on my lft upper premolars. Im like nah I have sensitivity on the right. Come to find out it was my right side?😅 like bro. The doctor didn't even tell me the treatment plan, she just told the assistant what to write down in my treatment plan. I had to ask her questions for her to actually discuss whats going on. She left, I don't know why I paid $287 .. for a 2 min exam and no offense to the assistant (very lovely lady).. but some of my X-rays on my FMX were non diagnostic.. overlapping everywhere. Some of my apices weren't even captured. I felt like I just donated money to this establishment cause I quiet frankly got nothing in return. Then they had the audacity to tell me how much a treatment plan would cost without insurance. Like go to hell🤨 1500 for what?? Your doctor chair-side manner is actually atrocious. I hope the mistakes that were made me with me yesterday get fixed for future patients. Check insurance before seating a patient maybe? Just maybe that will help... and ask your doctor to work on her chair side manner..
