Every one that works there is really nice, helpful and professional. I have had 9 teeth pulled and I never felt a thing. They really try to explain every detail you have to go through so you understand and know what to expect. My daughter has had her teeth whitened and she said she really liked the staff and how they explained everything before they did anything.

My visit today to Aspen Dental was the worst experience I ever had !It was like going to a drive up and waiting in line for my visit which never happened. Poor timing and attention to service.Had to call my insurance company to cancel their charges for a no professional visit with a concerned Dr.This is a franchise with no dedicated service, Wendy's and McDonalds are far much better!

This is my second bad experience. First my appointment was canceled while I was in transit to the office. Today I had a procedure and was told I was done. The office called me an hour later asking for my pharmacy. This should have been done prior to me leaving. Now I’m very uncomfortable and no prescription yet. Two strikes; three I’m gone.

Our previous family dentist office wanted to charge us over $2k for a wisdom tooth extraction (this with insurance). I decided to look for another dentist office that our insurance covers and found Aspen Dental. Their Hamden office is the closest to our home (20 min drive). The staff were so friendly from the moment we walked in. After examining my son's wisdom tooth, they explained the options we had and to our surprise, the cost was $1800 less than the pricing we got at the other dentist office. I was almost in tears because, as everyone is experiencing, our budget is extremely tight. Thankfully, our timing was perfect because the oral surgeon was scheduled to be in the office two days after his exam. All went well with the tooth extraction which was a 5 minute procedure. Again, the staff was friendly and very helpful. I couldn't be happier with my quick decision to change dentist offices and I'm so glad to have found Aspen Dental. We'll be visiting them moving forward for all our dental health needs.

I have an issue with my tooth and tried to make an emergency appointment online. It showed several available appointment times for an emergency appointment. When I went to book it and put in my information, it said I am an existing patient so I need to call for an appointment. I called and asked to schedule an appointment at 8am on Tuesday as that shows as available online. I’m told the appointments online are only for new patients, and she can’t book me then because the doctor isn’t available. I asked how the doctor is available for new patients and not existing ones and she kept saying as an existing patient I’m in a “different chair” the doctor isn’t available for my “different chair” as an existing patient. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. For my “different chair” they don’t have an available emergency appointment I can make for a week. Then they said this appointment will only be to look at the tooth; I’ll have to schedule a second appointment to have them actually do anything. I could understand if it’s something more complex but they couldn’t explain why something like a filling couldn’t be done the same day. It feels like they’re just trying to make additional money requiring multiple appointments.
