Aspen Dental - Farmington, CT Reviews
So far my experience with Aspen Dental has been phenomenal, and I never use that word! However, every single part of my experience has been above and beyond what I’ve become accustomed to until I found them, which was very recent! From Patrick, the customer support person that I first spoke to over the phone that took his time to go through every question I had and provide me with options that I didn’t even know existed. He also helped me find an appointment near me the very next day. Then about an hour before my appointment time I called the office I was going to with some questions, I was nervous, and the woman that answered was also just as kind and courteous and helpful. When I arrived for my appointment the entire staff; front desk, technician that took my x-rays, the doctor, and then the woman that helped me with the final financing and future appointment set up…everyone made me feel like I was in such good hands. I’m actually looking forward to going back for my next visit!
Oct 04, 2024 · Tasha LeeI went back to Aspen dental today and honestly I shouldn't have... A little backstory. I got dentures almost 10 years ago originally at Aspen dental in Pennsylvania and was told nothing about them being temporary. I was told those are my dentures so I had them for 9 years having had paid for a secondary set and they saw this in my file this past spring when I went in to get new dentures because the temporary set that was 9 years old broke. They told me that I only ever got the temporary set and then oh well. Even though I had paid, they told me that they couldn't honor that fine. Whatever it's been 9 years I was scammed. Anyway, they do the new dentures and the denture technician. The person who makes them decided that I was making all the wrong decisions in getting the dentures made... From the wrong color to the wrong amounts of gum covering, what would be the roots of these denture teeth? I was told that I need it to be whiter that I shouldn't have my teeth offset and I explained multiple times. This is exactly what my teeth used to look like. I want them to look natural. I don't want them to look gross and overwhite and like glowing in a black light and then I got told that I was too young to have gums looking like what. I have my dentures looking like now because it should be more exposed and I'm like what they were trying to sell me on. Looked like a skeleton and there was barely any gum. It was very just skeletal... So they finally made them the way that I wanted them and I haven't had issues until this morning when I was eating a piece of toast and a tooth fell out of my denture. So I called them and the receptionist on the phone seemed all too happy to help until she found out that they were covered by insurance is when her mood changed or not insurance but rather warranty. She said fine. We'll see you soon. I got there. She huff and puffed a little bit and then went back and you know told them that I was there and after waiting a while she finally came to get me by yelling from a different room out of eyesight entirely. Jason get in here like I'm her kid or something go into the room. She has me put my dentures in the little box goes away till it comes back. Tells me it's going to be an hour so I wait an hour. I come back and she goes. Oh your back in a tone of disgust goes back checks on my dentures again. Jason get in here like she has some authority over my existence. I go into the little room, get handed a Ziploc bag with my denture and told to go to the bathroom and put them in if I want. Unlike fine, you repaired the tooth. It was under warranty. You're supposed to repair the tooth. Your work is guaranteed. I could have done without the attitude though.... I think the next time I need dentures done. I'm going to go somewhere else because this has not been a great experience at all

Sep 12, 2024 · Hooda BakrIt was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I went because my front tooth crown and post had fallen out. I wanted it put back in because it wasn’t damaged and I hadn’t been hit or anything. I was told the x-rays showed my tooth was cracked, so it would have to come out, and to do that I would need a deep cleaning and 3 filings were also needed. I was then sent to another office, then was told the cost of their “plan”, I could only go with part of it. Once I dropped the bridge from the plan I was treated so impersonally. I was nagged through my entire cleaning to buy their recommended water pic, their $40 each toothpaste and mouthwash, and to come for cleanings every 3 months, regardless that my insurance only covers every 6. I was told “it’s only $150-$300 a cleaning”. Definitely felt judged and shamed. Then, with novacaine having been injected for the next step during the cleaning, I was left to sit for over 45 minutes because the doctor’s staff had “gone to lunch”. By the time they were ready I had to be given more numbing injections. They did the 3 fillings and the extraction. As the doctor was placing the last stitch following the fillings and extraction, I had a panic attack. I had been having painful work done in my mouth for almost 3 1/2 hours. The doctor walked out of the room and I never saw him again. I was given generic instructions on care, told to take “whatever you take for pain at home”, and no walk through of what the healing process would look like. It is now 4 days later, I am still in pain, unable to wear the flipper they gave me, living on a combination of Tylenol and Motrin, and I have an appointment with a different dentist’s office to see if I am healing correctly and if their “care plan” is correct. I am never going to let someone from Aspen touch my mouth again, I was only money to them - and once the “big payout” was removed from my plan they couldn’t have cared less about me. It wasn’t until I called them to get my x-rays that the office manager even showed concern. I used to really like Aspen, but now they’re too much about the money and I just can’t trust them. I wish I had gone for a second opinion before letting them do what they did to me.
Jul 25, 2024 · Tiffany LedouxThey do not operate ethically. They scam money from you. They told me I needed to remove my bar and that it wasn’t covered by insurance. After I paid them over $1,000, they sent me a bill asking for another $321. They said I owe more because my insurance didn’t cover it. This makes no sense, they told me I wouldn’t owe more than what I already paid and then they turned around and changed their minds. This is not an ethical way to run a business. I saw other reviews saying the same thing, so not go here. While the staff was nice, their billing department operated unethically and I will never go back here.
