Aloha Family Dental Reviews
This is the worst dentist I've ever encountered in my 41 years existence! I'll try to sum it up so this review doesn't turn into a book with chapters because there is a lot of incompetence to talk about with this dentist! My husband got all of his top teeth pulled and fit for a denture. When the dentist numbed his gums my husband had to tell him he could still feel in the back part of his mouth and he had to give him more numbing medication TWICE. He pulled my husband's teeth out all in one visit, and he kept taking several breaks in between 2 or 3 teeth extractions. After he was done, pulling all 10 teeth out he didn't offer my husband any kind of pain management care. I asked him if he can give him something for pain, and he told us he doesn't do pain care management. Seriously? He just got all of his upper teeth pulled out all in one go, and you're telling me you're not going to give him any pain management!!! That is barbaric!! My husband was in severe pain and was told to just take ibuprofen! Crazy!!!!! Mind you My husband was told he would leave with a temporary denture, so he would still be able to eat until his actual denture was finished. Well, that didn't happen, and the time he told my husband he would have his denture ready was within 5 to 7 days. He didn't end up having that denture ready for my husband until about fifteen days later and all the while my husband didn't have any temporary denture, and could only eat jello, mashed potatoes and other soft foods! Now let's get to the part where we came in so my husband could get the denture.....The denture was too big, too loose and would fall out of my husband's mouth and it hurt his gums in some places. They were uneven too! We had to come back in multiple times so the dentist could "fix" the denture. He ended up putting some stuff in there to provide some cushion and told my husband just don't put it in too hot of water when cleaning them... what? And then he would shave parts of the denture down, and he ended up making a hole in the back part of the denture!!! Still to this day, my husband struggles with wearing this denture, and he tries to wear them at work and some other times in public but they cause him so much pain, and he's got bumps and sores on his gums from the denture rubbing and pushing up against his guns where they shouldn't be.We are just your average blue collar family. We won't be able to afford to get him a new denture for quite some time!I also want to add. There was one time we had to come in after hours and the dentist was the only person there and we basically had to be his dental assistant, helping him hold his tools while he did work in my husband's mouth because he had sores on his guns after he pulled the teeth out and it should have been healed by then!!!! Very unprofessional!!! Terrible and incompetent dentist! Do not go here!

Nov 09, 2024 · Christy FloridasunshineThis was the best dental experience of my adult life. With that said, I am a horrible dental patient and hate going. It had been 6 years since my last cleaning and was prepared for the worst. I had a bad experience last year at Bright Now in Winter Garden and never returned after my “assessment” of which they told me I needed about $2k worth of dental work. We changed dental plans this year in anticipation of the multiple procedures I was told I needed. Luckily, Aloha was now an available provider. My wife went in this summer and had a terrific experience as well but my fear of going led to me waiting until last week to schedule. I was put on a cancellation list and was luckily able to sneak in before the new year. Their receptionist gave a warm greeting and assisted me with paperwork. Ashley (the hygienist) greeted me with a smile and walked me back. She was terrific and made sure that I had a thorough cleaning. Doc came in and performed his check up and found a couple of cavities (which I totally expected given my lack of dental care). At the end of the day it’s going to run me less than $100 for the fillings and no need for the multiple quadrant deep clean that was prescribed a year ago. A far cry from the $2k worth of dental work that I didn’t need. Thank you Aloha!
