I drove 4 hours to meet with Dr Lisa. It was 100% worth it. She took her time to explain all the treatment options, their advantages and disadvantages, and clearly expressed when she thought something could be ultimately harmful or unnecessary. Her willingness to collaborate and treat a patient in tandem with other physicians is extraordinary. I've been with plenty of doctors who just try to shove any treatment at you and are in it solely for profit. Dr Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, and professional. I felt safe with her recommendations and advice, unlike my past experience with several orthodontists. After working with 3 orthodontists, she is the only one I would recommend to anyone.

She didn't give me time in the $190 consult - she left a few minutes in to "see other patients". I brought 2 kids in, so for $380 I felt robbed and taken advantage of. I didn't have time to ask any questions and her meeting was extremely brief. For the amount of money that a consult costs, I assumed I would get more than 20 min for TWO appointments. I assumed she would take a CT scan (3-d X-ray) since she's an airway orthodontist, but she didn't. I had pictures of my kids CT scans from several months prior showing tiny airways. I asked her to look at them and she said no. That there was no need because they hadn't been diagnosed with sleep apnea. For my son with a tiny airway she literally said do nothing. I am highly disappointed that I not only wasted my time (I drove 90 min), but I wasted my money. I ended up finding a much more caring airway orthodontist in Palm Harbor who took one look at my son's airway and said he needed to be treated right away. I would not recommend Dr. Y.

Dr. Lisa and her staff made us feel right at home because they took their time making sure we were active participants in the plan moving forward and went over all of our options. I am truly at ease because I know my son is in great hands to address his functional needs not just the cosmetic aspect. Can't say enough good things about her sweet demeanor.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Dr. Lisa is who every doctor should aspire to be. I wish she could be my primary care doctor. She does not prescribe to the old, outdated orthodontic ways and instead continues learning the newest, healthiest way to provide you with oral health. She works with the mouth to encourage growth in a natural way that preserves the airway. I drove 7 hours to get to her office because she is one of very few orthodontists who practice in this way. I will happily make the drive again to see her. What an amazing person.

I wanted an orthodontist who was willing to listen to all of the things I have learned over the years about teeth and the development of the face and airway but also have much of the knowledge herself so we could come up with a plan together. I found her. Dr. Lisa was so warm, an encyclopedia of information, humble about what she felt she knew or where the limits of her understanding were, and compassionate about the struggle of trying to find the right approach for each child. I am thrilled to have her as “team captain” on this orthodontic trip with our daughter. Her staff is as warm as she is; we had such a good experience today.
