I love Wilshire Dental because the staff do a good job explaining exactly what they can offer and what they find in my mouth. I feel I’m in good hands. I also like going here because it is quiet and not overdone. Small and personal with a country feel; feels like a relief from the overdone bustle of our current culture. I can relax and get right to the point of doing just what’s needed for my teeth to stay healthy and no more. I appreciate the work, Wilshire Dental team! Thanks for being there!

Just an overall great experience at Wilshire Dental. I went to see Dr. Neil for a second opinion after another dentist told me I needed some fairly extensive work. Dr. Neil took a detailed look, clearly explained his thoughts and my options. He saw me back the following day and was able to fix my issue quickly and painlessly. He has excellent chair side manner and made me feel completely at ease. I highly recommend Wilshire Dental.

The front desk receptionist is very snooty. Though polite, she is insensitive. The hygienist is very rough and put much pressure on my teeth when she was cleaning them. This dental office as a hole is not considerate of schedule changes or accommodation. I look forward to switching and cancelling with Wilshire Dental. 8/26/16 at 0951. Yet again, I just received a call from Liz asking question about a service months ago and billing. After asking if he could get a statement emailed to me she said, "Well you'll have to contact your insurance". I asked how do you expect me to pay a bill with no statement. She said, didn't you get a statement in the mail? I just don't understand this team and their goal to service customers. Maybe they are only responsible for good customer service face to face and phone customer service is not as important. After speaking with a coworker in my office they experienced the same type of service causing me to come to the decision to find a new dentist asap. Nonetheless, Dr. G is extremely personable and patience for which I will not look forward to leaving for that one reason but feel it would be best.

Uninviting.very disappointed Thanks for your response. To be clea,r Yes My family of 3 has just moved here well in the process, your desk assistant didn't fail a accommodating me. She didn't try. We needed three new patient appointments and if you are scheduling months out ie august /sept so be it however I would think having 3 ppl in that literally live across the street in for exams cleaning and further treatment plans, would be wanted Business esp after a year of closing. Your assistant was nicely rude and full of excuses, I thought it was a phone thing so i walked over and it was worse in person. I didn't know my expectations were so high. Im new to Portland. and makes me want to fly back home every 3 months to get my teeth taken care of !

I just started seeing Dr. Gehred, and so far so awesome! He's very personable and non-judgemental to me and my situation. Since I neglected my teeth, I have to get dentures, and although, Neil underestimated the price the oral surgeon would cost, but hey, no one's completely perfect! I'm just waiting now to get through all my antibiotics so I can begin my scary procedure. At least I'll be knocked out!!! Thanks Dr. G for being so charming and honest and I hope you're as gentle as you seem. Your new patient, Sarah Ziemke
