Unfortunately I wasn't seen. I arrived on time and provided my insurance information days before the appointment as requested. It seemed like the insurance hadnt been verified. An hour and 15 minutes passed before I was called back. People that came after me were seen and treated before me, so I was really frustrated. I waited an additional 10 min in the room when I was called back and then decided to leave. :( There was one dental assistant who was kind enough to come out to the lobby and apologize for staffing issues shortly after I arrived. She was the only one who acknowledged I was waiting for a lengthy period of time. I wish I had her name. I had such great experiences at this location in the past, but I didn't recognize anyone now.
Only reason for 3 stars was because dewantist did a good teeth cleaning job. Horrible otherwise. When we went 6 months ago, they were understaffed and we waited an hour and a half for teeth cleaning. 6 months later it hasn't changed. Over 2 house in waiting room. No hygienist. Only dentists so you are in the general que. Don't go here unless you have nothing better to do.
Had a good experience - appointment was on a Saturday and my hygienist Joseph was really attentive, helpful in answering questions, and ensured I was taken care of. He even jumped in to help set up my next appointment as staff were tied up. Great patient care! Medical/dentist offices can be very swamped so can tell folks are doing their best with number of patients and staffing. Western Dental has multiple locations so hope you’re being taken care of as well. Keep it up guys!
My appointment was rescheduled 3 times. When i was finally seen, the dentist did not bother to polish my teeth. My visit there felt rushed and I left feeling very disappointed. But the staff were nice.
I went in for an annual check up and the recommended a service that required prior approval from my carrier. So, they’d scheduled the appointment a month out. I called both them and my carrier 3 times over the next month to make sure the paper work was processed. It was not. So they cancelled the day before and scheduled the appointment another month out. They then finally submitted the paperwork. 30 minutes later I was given a call confirming the cancelled appointment. I also received texts over the next week concerning my failure to show up at the appointment. Finally, my insurance approved treatment and I called them to schedule an appointment. They did for the same day (as they advertise). Shortly after they called me and cancelled. They are messy and unorganized and it concerns me greatly. I may have a penalty while I wait for a new dentist to be approved, but at this point I don’t think I have a choice. The worst part being the staff who worked on me seemed nice enough but this is just a regular disaster on the admin side.
I needed an extraction for a broken tooth. It was suggested to me to have an implant. This would be my first time. Well,I agreed. Today was the day and it was awkward and slightly frightening not knowing what to expect. The procedure went smoothly. Of course, it’s a two step process which requires me to go back in a few months for the actual implant. Anyways, I have temporary tooth retainer. Still getting use to it.
