Having recently moved to Nashville, I was in the market for a new dentists office & I am so thankful that I stumbled upon West Nashville Smiles Dentistry. The staff there is phenomenal. Michael was incredibly helpful in getting me situated right off the bat & Hannah was a fantastic hygienist, making sure my comfort was a top priority. Dr. Call was great & answered all of my questions with patience & offered multiple options for care. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Have been seeing Dr. Call for at least a year. I have had a lot of dental issues come up, and I cannot express how grateful I am for this team. Dr Call really cares about the health of his patients, and made me feel comfortable in hard situations. I truly feel like they care and I cannot recommend enough. Great people working in this office. I also appreciate that everything is online in a portal- easy to communicate. Will continue seeing them for a long time!

Great and friendly service at the reception desk, they worked out my insurance issue before I got to my appointment and kept me abreast of the process. I was seen a few minutes past my appointment time, but the rest of my service was exceptional. I felt comfortable, educated on the procedure and safe.

In response to the reply below my review: I've emailed you, and I have sent a note in the mail with proof delivery. Despite trying to reach out and giving the opportunity to respond, I have been met with silence. I see there have been multiple 5-star reviews in the last 24 hours after mine was posted 48 hours ago. Please make an effort to reach out to be responsive to your patients before taking it to a public forum. --- READ BEFORE GOING TO WEST NASHVILLE SMILES DENTISTRY! It's very disappointing to see that so many people have had the same experience as I did. I arrived for what I believed to be a standard cleaning. My dental history prior to the visit had been spotless, as I hadn't even had a cavity before. My last dentist visit was in 2022, and I made the mistake of letting Dr. Call and his team know that. Therefore issues were “found.” After 45 minutes of x-rays being taken incorrectly, I was seen immediately by Dr. Call and met with his concern. Within minutes, I was told I had multiple cavities, gingivitis, a possible fractured tooth, and a bacterial infection. This was a shock to me, as I take very great care of my teeth. Repetitively, I asked what I could be doing differently, and my answer was unclear and chalked up to genetics. Fillings and a laser/gel treatment were recommended. Immediately after going through the implications of my issues (shown diagrams of rotting teeth and explaining the urgency), I was spoken to about insurance. The insurance representative was brought in and out three times during my visit. I was told upon arrival that I would have a copay, although my insurance should have no copay at all. Similarly, I was told that fillings and gingivitis/bacterial treatment would be more out of pocket. When performing the fillings, Dr. Call mentioned that one, possibly two, of the teeth would need crown root canals. In another deceptive business practice, Dr. Call took very expensive photos without asking if that was alright or knowing the cost associated. He showed me "decay" on the inside of one of the teeth. From there, I was in a very stressful state - especially considering my clean record before and the length of time spent in the chair being worked on. After more than two hours at this point, I was asked to schedule multiple follow-up appointments and sign documents pertaining to this dental work. I felt pressured into signing on the spot. Every dentist I had been to before, I never would have second guessed anything. I knew that they would only do work that is necessary - I could not say the same for Dr. Call. After leaving, I decided to get a second opinion with a local family dentist in Nashville. Similarly, I contacted my hometown dentist. Neither saw a need for a root canal, and one didn't even see as much as a cavity after referencing the new x-rays and those taken in a couple years ago. Additionally, one argued that the gel/laser treatment was completely unwarranted, and overall the charges were extremely overpriced for the care that was given. They cited the digital photos specifically, which I was not asked about. Most upsetting, one of the second opinion dentists let me know that the "decay" found in one of the teeth was actually blood. Either by accident or not, Dr. Call drilled too far into my tooth to a point where it was able to bleed and hit the pulp/artery area. Therefore, whether I needed one before this procedure or not, I will likely need one now. I was essentially coerced into locking myself into thousands of dollars of unnecessary dental work. As someone who's never had a problem before, I thought I was in serious trouble. I was very disappointed and upset to feel as if I had been swindled or taken advantage of by Dr. Call and his team. I hope that nobody else has to deal with these kinds of deceptive practices by this office again, as it could really harm somebody either physically or financially.
