Webster Groves Dental: Matthew S. Wenzel, DMD

Dr Wenzel is a compassionate expert dentist. In the middle of taking chemo for Ovarian Cancer I lost my front #10 crown. I cried lots, then called Dr Wenzel’s.office. Not only did I get an appt the next day but he and his assistant stayed very late to give me a temporary and make a mold for a new crown. He was just amazing. I recommend him highly.

I would recommend avoiding this office at all costs! I had a crown replaced on my back molar and Dr. Wentzel made the top of the crown completely flat so it barely made contact with the tooth above it. After trying to chew with it for a few days and noticing how ineffective it was, I went back to have it fixed. Dr. Wentzel said to fix it would require replacement and he believed there was nothing wrong with it. In addition to refusing to fix it, he also refused to issue a refund. Since my insurance paid some of the cost for the initial crown, I had to pay out of pocket to have it fixed by a reputable dentist. I was able to get the money refunded from my credit card company by providing a letter from the prosthodontist who replaced Dr. Wentzel’s crown detailing its inadequacies.

Dr. Matthew and his staff are BY FAR the friendliest and nicest people you can get for healthcare. They are reasonable and I trust their team with my teeth and recommend them to all my friends and family.

I had to get on here and talk about my beautiful new smile. Thanks to Dr. Wenzel and his fabulous staff. My anxiety going to the dentist has always been high, but Dr. Wenzel made me so comfortable . He is patient and kind, and listened to my concerns. He made sure that I was happy with the shape and color of my new crowns. Betty at the front desk always has time to talk, and organize my appointments. I highly recommend this office. From fillings to new crowns for a new smile! Wow Wow. I’m thrilled!!!

Always a pleasant experience. The Dr. always clearly explains what he's doing each step of the way and ask if you have any questions. He never makes you feel rushed. The staff are great as well. Always friendly and helpful. Who'd a thought visiting a dentist could be a pleasant experience, but it really is.
