VA Dental Clinic

Atlanta VA Dental is horribly managed and their inefficiencies are epic. Everything from trying to make an appointment to referrals to community care is nothing short of incredibly frustrating. The care is ok once you finally get, but the admin issues and red tape make it hardly worth it. Perhaps that’s their goal. I travel a lot and have sought dental care in2 other VA systems. Clearly, it doesn’t have to be this way. The people in charge of dental care are absolutely failing.

CLOSE THIS OFFICE EXPEDITIOUSLY. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS, THIS OFFICE IS -100. I literally and purposely called all day to no avail. No answer at all. The operator, community care multiple locations nor I could not get through. I spoke to community care on Monday and was told I would get a call back for scheduling. It is now Thursday, no call. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. If you don’t want to do the job, LEAVE. At this point, I NEVER want to deal with the VA due to subpar care and concern. Replace the whole staff.

This is the worst department out of all the VA clinics the Atlanta VA Medical Center has. No one ever answers the phones and I’ve been asking for over a year who was the director of this department and still do not know. I have been seeking dental work for 2 years now and can’t get help. Today I was so feed up I called and asked to make an appointment with Dan Ducker who is the head of the entire hospital only to be told Dan is not their and the hospital does not currently have a director. For the love of GOD please close this clinic and allow Veterans to use outside dental offices for our needs. These ppl are doing absolutely nothing but collecting a government check and doing no work.

As we were taught in the military it starts at the top. There is no way the VA leadership does not know about the horrible customer service at this facility. I’ve physically walked in to this facility and asked questions to be replied back to with a nonprofessional attitude. The whole program should be revamped starting with the Va leadership. I have Covid and tried calling to reschedule an appointment for four days and know one has even called me back. Even the switchboard operator has sent messages to them with no reply. Collecting a check from taxpayers without giving service to the most valued customers who served this country. Ridiculous. Definitely contacting senator Osoff.

I have call this VA 4 TIMES and placed on hold 10 minutes each time and then they hung up on me. I broke a tooth while visiting my daughter in Georgia and I can't get any help. I also asked the operator for patients advocate and still have not spoke with anyone.
