This place can be summarized by 3 words—deceiving/fraudulent, predatory and incompetent. Deceiving/fraudulent: I left my previous dental clinic for this one because of its promotion poster claiming new patients were eligible for complimentary teeth whitening provided tooth cleaning is done during the same visit. It turned out they’d give you a whitening pen that you could purchase on Amazon for as low as $15, which they only told me after the cleaning was done. Predatory: 1. During my visit they also coerced me to have a comprehensive exam, which was totally unnecessary. 2. The dentist tried to sell me their $6000+ braces even though I did not ask for it. After I said no, she insisted on letting the receptionist submit an estimate to my insurance company to give me a second thought. After the dentist left, the receptionist tried to sell me their installment plan and coerce me into payment for the braces. I had to point out it was supposed to be an estimate and I did not consent to the plan. Incompetent: The dentist and her assistant had difficulty speaking English (I’m referring to their language level here, not their accents). The pushy receptionist mentioned above who was a native English speaker also had communication issues (I’m referring to communication skills here, not speech disorders). If anyone who read this had similar experiences, here’s a list of authorities and organizations you can resort to based on your specific cases: Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), Consumer Protection Ontario, Consumer Protection Ontario, Better Business Bureau (BBB), Dental Insurance Provider.

Dr. Doumit and her team have been taking care of me for 20 years. I can't believe it's taking me this long to write her the review she deserves. I often say that I owe my smile to her (I was considering posting a picture of my pearly whites- the results speak for themselves). She is a highly competent and skilled dentist. Her team is equally competent as she only works with the best dental hygienists. On top of that, client service, warmth, and friendliness are A+. There is a reason why I have been seeing her and her team for the past 20 years. It's truly the best experience in dental care I have had.

I recently became a client at Urban Dental Centre and out of the long list of dentists I had to choose from, I’m happy to have made this selection. Urban Dental is a clean, sleek, totally up-to-date full service dental office. The reception staff is friendly, helpful and efficient, plus they remembered my name on my second visit. Dr. Doumit is highly skilled in my opinion, mainly because she doesn’t hurt, no matter what she does. I know every mouth is different, but mine is sensitive and I have nothing but good things to say about her and her staff. A good dentist is important to me and I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted, since I moved back to Ottawa, making it necessary to find new dental services. I would highly recommend Urban Dental Centre to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, friendly, highly skilled dental service.

I definitely recommend this place for cleanings, Annick the hygienist is absolutely amazing, she's kind, patient, gentle on your gums and teeth, she is the ONLY one who hasn't sent me home bleeding like a hunted animal. She takes her time, you don't feel any rush, she explains everything very well and is not bothered by being asked questions. Very professional, she's worth every single penny. I loved it and will come back, I still have to try the dentists, I do hope they have the same ethics so I can call it my place to go for dentistry issues.

Doctor Katia Doumit is incredible at what she does. I had my teeth composite bonded today by her and I couldn’t be happier with the results. My teeth were not bad but they did have some wear and tear and minor chipping. She transformed by smiled in under an hour. The price was great as well It looks so incredibly natural no one will be able to guess what is improved on my face. Thank you so much to Dr.Doumit and her team
