This doctor is a crook in my opinion. I repeatedly told him of a tooth that I thought was bad due to I could taste poison in my mouth. It got so infected I went to my sinus doctor and he immediately had me scheduled for Cat imaging and put on antibiotics. I reported my findings to Dr Doherty and scheduled me for the very next day for Surgery. At the time of scheduling Surgery with his staff the staff said to me you have very good insurance and it will be nothing. It will cost you nothing . Over a month later I get a bill for $1400 to remove one tooth that I refuse to pay. He somehow put a lien on my house. I as told by others that he does this quite often and what he doesn’t get paid he counts it as a loss and uses it as a write off. Beware. I only realized this while applying for a reverse mortgage. I don’t understand how did this !

I got my wisdom teeth removed here more than two years ago when I was 17. I had numbness after 2 weeks and grew concerned, but I was told by the surgeon that it was common. They continued to tell me that I was fine after one and two months of numbness, casually letting me off after each visit. To be honest, it felt like they were trying to cover up a mistake that they knew was made. I have been living with no feeling in my chin for more than two years now. Edit: I cannot stress to y’all enough…. After 3+ years… no feeling. Do not trust this man at all. He did my dad’s wisdom teeth when my father was my age. He is 30 years older than me. I have no idea what the hell is going on at this practice, but he ruined the nerves in my mouth for the rest on my life. I cannot stress enough DO NOT TRUST THIS SURGEON AND DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE THAT NEEDS THEIR WISDOM TEETH OUT. He took a scan of my nerves and claimed nothing was wrong. It very much was when I went to a real professional at UPenn health. The nerve in my chin was severed. Do not trust this man.

Dr Dougherty DMDs an excellent oral surgeon! He is very careful and very thorough. He has done 10 dental implants for me, and I would trust him to do more. I highly recommend his work and his office staff.

I highly recommend Dr Tom Dougherty for any oral surgery needs. He is a highly skilled surgeon, he takes the time to explain the procedure beforehand and after surgery and is very professional . His assistant Melissa was amazing too and so helpful. The front desk staff is so efficient and kind. I have been a Dental hygienist for over 30 years and both of my children had their wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Dougherty. I refer all my patients to him. I can’t thank them enough for the excellent care my daughter received today.

All 3 of my children had their wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Dougherty. No issues with any of the surgeries. Dr. Dougherty was informative and professional. The staff was kind and accommodating. I had insurance problems with my third child, and the office was incredibly helpful. Very highly recommend!
