Theroux Dental Associates

Felt like Theroux Dental was more focused on making money than caring for my individual dental needs. I have anxiety and fear of X-rays and have worked with three terrific dentists in the past that have helped take care of me with minimal x-rays (I get yearly bite wings, but not full x-rays in 26 directions). I moved recently and wanted to find a local dentists. I called Theroux and signed up for an appointment mentioning my aversion to x-rays and was assured that would be okay. I showed up for my first appointment and as soon as I sat down was told I had to have a full set of x-rays (which are covered by insurance and can make a lot of money for the dental office). I tried to explain my anxiety and fear but was interrupted and told if I didn't have the x-rays that they would not be my dentist. When I left, without any dental care (even looking at my recently chipped tooth), I explained my frustration with the lack of communication at the front desk. After describing my experience, the receptionist told me that they didn't think they were the one I spoke to. This denial and defensive posturing together with my other experiences at Theroux Dental made me wonder about the overall culture of the office. The week before my scheduled appointment, I chipped a tooth and called to find out what the appropriate care would be. I asked if I could send a picture in and get a dental opinion. They said that would work, so I sent in the picture. They did not get back to me for four days - apologized for the delay, but did not provide a dental opinion. I appreciate that this type of consultation may not be covered by insurance fees, but it would have helped me to have some peace of mind and should not have taken much of the dentists time. I have had the privilege of some of some terrific and caring dentists. I realize Theroux Dental is popular, and my experiences may be unusual, but they are nonetheless real. Theroux - you can and should do better at communicating and treating patients as individuals rather than ways to make money. You can be caring of individuals as a dentist and make money.

Amazing. State of the art facility. Beautiful office with wonderful staff. Very thorough and professional. They also worked wonderfully with my 3 year old. It was her first visit and they did an excellent job contributing to such a positive first experience at the dentist.

Love this dental practice. Have been going for 20 years. Mindy is a great hygienist; efficient, skilled, friendly but doesn't talk my ear off or ask questions when I have my mouth open. Tina is the absolute best. I have 100% faith and trust in her abilities and knowledge. No up selling ever.

Theroux Dental has given me great care in the short time I've been a patient. First taking care of an infection emergency very quickly. And then following up with me. Hopefully this will be a long term relationship for me. The staff are all very good at their jobs; helpful, friendly and well trained. I'm thankful I found them.
