Summit Pediatric Dentistry

The staff are all so friendly and welcoming! This is the first and only dentist that my son has ever felt fully comfortable at. Going to the dentist is no longer a struggle. Summit Pediatric Dentistry has been a godsend. I highly recommend them. And, I can't forget to mention Bear! He's the cutest mascot/dog.

My oldest son has been a patient here for several years. This year we were unable to make it to our appointment in February 2024 and rescheduled for March 2024. We went to our appointment in March and scheduled 6 months out to September. School had started and both kids were sick the morning of their appointments. One was throwing up and one was running a fever. I did what I thought was right and canceled their appointment via text because the office was closed. Later that day I called the office to reschedule and at the time, they were booking out to Next year 2025. We tried very hard to find a day that Dad and I could take off work. We couldn't come up with a day at the time. So now here we are in October, my hours have changed and I called to reschedule their missed appointments, I made their appointment for October 23rd at 1pm. 15 minutes later I received a call back from the scheduler telling me the doctor said he won't see my kids and they're sending us a letter to discontinue services. So a few things, I wish my son was never attacked by my neighbors dog and the neighbors son shooting at our house causing us to move immediately and causing us to miss our dentist appointment in February. I also wish I didn't care about the doctor or the staff and risked them catching whatever my sons had at the time by bringing them to the appointments in September. I also wish we would've just found another office in September when this office refused to reschedule our appointment within the same year at the time but somehow now they available appointments in October! This doctor is a total Jerk! Also I know for a fact the scheduler tipped this off, there's no way a dentist would have time to check and see about my appointment in 15 mins..she got up and went and told him we missed appointments after she had already scheduled the appointments! Luckily we have several pediatric options in Lee's Summit who are more family friendly and flexible. If your kids are sick TAKE THEM ANYWAYS, this office books out for several months and then when you have to reschedule they can't get you in for months and when you don't reschedule after cancelation it's marked as "no call no show" even though you've communicated...also if you have more than one kid they mark it as 2 missed appointment but the original appointment is booked under one appointment.

I recently moved and as always happens an urgent matter arose, I called around to 4 offices before being able to get into Summit within 2 days of my call vs weeks and months at other facilities. Once in the office they made my child feel comfortable from the hygienist to the dentist to the cutest support dog ever, Bear. I am glad I found them and will continue taking my child there for years to come!

Dr. Mathew and staff are incredibly kind and professional. The level of care you will receive here is second to none. You can trust that you will be given an honest opinion that best suits your child’s individual needs while your child is smiling or snuggling the office dog. Would recommend it to anyone!

I was planning on scheduling my child’s first appointment soon, but unfortunately he had a major fall and I called to see if they could take a look at his mouth. I was extremely pleased with how friendly the staff was in the five minutes we were there (as they were kind enough to squeeze us in for a quick look between patients). They were knowledgeable and great with my three year old. I do plan on doing a follow up and scheduling his first cleaning after his mouth has healed.
