State Avenue Dental Office

Scheduled a consultation for wisdom teeth removal for my daughter and consult for an implant for an adult tooth that never came in. Daughter has braces, is under orthodontic care. Scheduled the appointment and sent in the requested paperwork. Also took time off work and have been coming early past 2 days to make up for it. Informed staff that my daughter already has many current and extensive x-rays. Was given information to send the x-rays. I called her ortho and had them sent. Spoke with Angelica 2 days prior to appointment and got insurance sorted and sent to her. Received a call today (1 day prior to consultation) from Jose, and was told that their answering service double booked the appointment and they would have to reschedule. I told them I had taken off work and so had her dad. They then scrambled stating that they didn’t have the insurance information. I sent that over right away via text message. Mind you, I have already done the paperwork twice at this point. Once when I scheduled and again when Angelica called me yesterday. So now I’m providing this info for the third time. Then I get a call back from Jose stating the insurance was not good. I told him it is good, but not active until November 1 and this is just the consultation. He then told me we would have to reschedule or I would have to pay $80 for the consultation. Why was I not told this when I scheduled? And what is it even for? She has x-rays and an in-depth referral. This should be part of the procedure. Truly felt as if they had a “better” appointment opportunity with the double booking, so this was a pretty terrible way to force me to reschedule. I canceled and still tried to call back and sort it out with Angelica just to salvage some of my wasted time, but instead of helping, she took her coworker’s side. Don’t waste your time. I probably spent 5 hours trying to schedule this appointment just to have to cancel it the day before. And I could have used that time between scheduling and the appointment to find a competent office. Very sketchy and shady staff. Do not recommend.

I liked the greeting from Gabby she is friendly and very down to earth she did a very good job cleaning my teeth..I've been a patient of Dr. Chang for many years and he is honest and caring and very professional. The staff is great!!

Worst dental experience of my life. Kept operating when I said I wasn't fully numb. I was told to signal with my hand if I felt pain, and I did, multiple times, and while crying. They told me they would numb me more. If they did administer more, they never checked in to see if I was numb, and continued to work. The dentist performed the gingivectomy and I could feel it, signaled, and was once again told I would be numbed more. Never was. Would never recommend. Very unprofessional and cold people.

I really love this dentist office. They are so friendly and I love they know your face and name when you come in.Just over all State Avenue Dental Office is a good Office to come to. And they take really good care of you and make your dental experience really comfortable.

Hey, For the most part I try to keep My teeth in good shape (brushing/flossing/ rinsing), but; with COVID and constant mask wearing We all one time or another need to c them outside of the every six months..... "The Dentist", Me and them don't mix so When I find one I like I'm grateful. State Ave Dental entire staff thus far has been Awesome: Ashely at the Front Desk greets Me each time I've been there with such a great smile and pleasant tone. We can all agree We all miss the small things that makes us feel welcomed. The docs are cool too.....Dr Chang and Dr Monroe are the two I've met. My 2nd appt. I forgot to take My pre-meds and instead of rescheduling Dr Chang sold them to Me for 1.00 a pill, more than CVS but I kept My appt. that I had Psyched Myself up for all night....(That's how much I don't like the Dentist) Now for Dr Monroe, He did My deep cleaning. He is so courteous, attentive, and I appreciate His overall mannerisms. Saida assisted Dr Monroe each time and I tell U, she was so kind and patient with Me and My Dentist phobias.....What I hope is any of My future work is in Dr Monroe's wheel house or if Dr Chang has to do it his mannerisms surpass My expectations. Regardless who does it U'll want Saida if available to assist. The parking can be tight but workable......The waiting area is very neat and comfortable... The overall office is clean and it doesn't have that lingering dentist office smell (My hang up) So, if U're needing a dentist I suggest giving State Ave Dental a shot, no pun intended.....?
