Silver Lake Smiles Family Dentistry

I was the last person of the day, and could not tell whether the individual cleaning my teeth was in a rush to get me out of there or had a bad day. I came in for a regular cleaning, not deep cleaning or anything that needed extra care. She was poking and scratching my gum so hard, I was clenching my fist and closing my eyes out of pain. She didn’t stop and just kept going. I was bleeding excessively. Even after she had rinsed and suctioned, I could still taste blood so I spat out the fluids in my mouth and it was bloody. I was in so much pain while this person was cleaning my teeth. I asked her if it was normal to bleed this much, she then said I didn’t have much build up but considering how much I bled during the cleaning I “must” have a lot of bacteria… why didn’t she say anything at all while cleaning my teeth and saw how much I was bleeding? The previous times I came here for cleaning it was not painful and those times were with one specific gal. This time it was the dentist who usually comes and tells you the results, but this time she did the cleaning from start to finish and she was extremely aggressive. She also flossed my teeth extra hard and quick which cause my gum to bleed even more. I was able to taste blood as my gum was already injured from her aggressive poking and scraping. Minor bleeding is normal, but excessive bleeding with a constant mouthful of blood is not normal. It’s not like I have gum disease or of any sort to cause bleeding or for me to have sensitive gum. She then was saying I can buy their mouth wash, but she doesn’t think my gum are bad enough to need their mouth wash, but I can still buy it and use it once in a while. Sounds like excuses to excuse her actions. She didn’t make any sense at all and no one deserves to go through such pain. I will no longer go here after two years of being their client. *Absolutely inconsiderate, unethical and horrible experience.*

My mom and I had a great experience at Silver Lake Smile. The ambience was welcoming and the whole team was friendly and pleasant. The communication between us and the dentist/dental hygienist was clear in a way that we understood our treatment plan and knew what to expect. We are glad we switch from our old dental clinic to Silver Lake.

I had a great experience at Silver Lake Smiles and I recommend it highly. Dr. Jason Yick is well versed and very friendly. He makes the experience easy. Also, the dental hygienist Krista is very detailed and friendly. The TV on the ceiling is also a very nice experience. This is officially my new dentist office I can say!!!

Great experience overall. Always a little nervous about finding a new dentist, but glad I found Silver Lake Smiles.

Our family LOVES Dr. Ong and everyone at SLS. We always have a great experience, which feels odd to say for a dentist office. The atmosphere is wonderful, and even though we have moved away, we continue to make the trip. Definitely recommend for the entire family.
