I had a disappointing experience with Sage Dental of Dr. Phillips. I was asked to come in earlier on the day of my appointment, only to end up waiting around once I arrived. During the visit, they quoted me about $1,000 in additional services and wouldn’t proceed with a basic cleaning unless I agreed to a portion of this extra treatment plan. Later, I found that the quoted services included unnecessary items, such as numbing for gum pain, even though I specifically mentioned that my only sensitivity was related to using white strips.When I reviewed the records they eventually sent, I noticed they had included incorrect information about my dental history. This misinformation, combined with their upselling tactics, added to my overall frustration and eroded my trust in their care. I’m glad I sought a second opinion, as the new dentist confirmed that the additional services Sage Dental advised were unnecessary.After deciding to go elsewhere, it took over three weeks to get my x-rays, despite repeated calls and emails. I eventually reached the right person, who did send the x-rays less than an hour before my appointment with the new dentist, which I appreciated. However, the prolonged process and the inaccuracies in my records make me hope that Sage Dental will work on their business practices and overall experience.
