Root Dental Specialists

Today, I had my second root canal with Dr. Tangredi (spelling?) and once again was put immediately at ease in his chair. From narrating each step to asking if I needed a break, my comfort was paramount! I never have to wait when I check in and the location is clean and comfortable. An easy 5 star rating!

Over the past month, I have been thinking about the visit that my partner had a the Root Specialists. The Front office sets the tone for the entire practice. My partner was on the fence regarding a tooth that either needed a root canal or an implant. She had a root canal years ago and ended up with an implant. The office Receptionist called to confirm and said to bring her dental Insurance card. NOTHING about payment in full up front was mentioned. My partner could have paid it but it was the humiliating and degrading manner in which the receptionist asked her if she was ready to pay up front. The Receptionist loudly and degradingly said that she mentioned it. I told her that I was in the car, overheard the conversation and nothing was mentioned about anything being paid upfront and could she be nicer about it? My partner pulled out her wallet and watched as another patient in the waiting room got up and left during this exchange. Needless to say, my partner felt as a patient and an employee in the medical field that no one should be spoken to in such a manner and said that she would call to reschedule. The receptionist waved her hand in the 'whatever' manner and turned away from the window. Our Dentist spoke very highly about the Dr's and the reviews are terrific. As you enter the building, the waiting room and check in areas are beautiful and tastefully decorated. I cannot speak for the entire front office staff but this one particular receptionist needs an attitude adjustment. We were turned off and my partner went the implant route.

I needed a root canal, in lots of pain. They took me in right away. Wonderful staff, friendly, knowledgeable, explained everything. Feel 100% better! Highly recommend Root Dental Specialist!

I had sudden and severe tooth pain and was referred to Root by my dentist. They fit me in for an appointment the very next morning. Dr. DeLuca was kind, caring, gentle and had excellent bedside manor from the instant that he walked into the room. I ended up needing a root canal- inwhich he performed during the ver same appointment. He checked in with me and made sure that I had zero pain during the entire procedure. He also called me the next morning to make sure that everything was going okay. And his office called later in the day. I returned about a month later for my follow up appointment, with zero pain, discomfort, or complaints. I definitely recommend Root!!

Doctor Tangredi is extremely able and s great communicator. I was seen promptly and the doctor showed me on the X-Ray screen why I had been experiencing pain. He then performed a root canal (SO much quicker than I remembered from many years ago!) and again explained, using the X-Ray screen, what he had done. He has a deft touch and took care to minimize discomfort. His dental assistant, Tess, is also capable and kind, and the whole office staff were helpful. I feel fortunate that Doctor Tangredi is my dental specialist.
