Customer Reviews
Absurd wait time ,, not polite. Doesn’t seem caring or sensitive to children. Considering it’s a peds dentist. Not gentle. Doesn’t inform child of what’s going on or have patience if he’s scared. Not sure how he’s had good reviews. He has no bed side manors he’s like a mute .
Both of my daughters go to Dr. Rector for their routine cleanings and have even had some crowns and fillings done there. The staff is so incredible and always makes my girls feel super comfortable during their appointments. I highly recommend them!
My oldest daughter (6) was referred here for dental work. She is a strong-willed child and could be very uncooperative for a procedure like this. But Dr. Rector’s office was extremely skilled and experienced with kids like her and they were so patient and kind. They allow her to make choices when possible and they explain everything to her in a way she will understand to ease her nerves. During the procedure, her dad and I were able to be with her the entire time to comfort her and help guide her. We were never made to feel like we were in the way. I also recently brought my youngest daughter (2) for her first dentist visit. I was so afraid of how the experience would go because I still have to fight and beg every day to get her to let me brush her teeth. But they insisted I bring her in. Her visit went without a hitch! I’m so glad I brought her because now she is even more willing to let me brush! I so appreciate their patience and expertise! I highly recommend to anyone with kids who have their own ideas about getting their teeth cleaned by strangers (any and all of them)!
****Disclaimer*****This post is not malicious, this post is not to bash Dr Rector, his facility, and his staff. This post is however is to shine light on many issues I have experienced and a most recent experience that did take place at Dr Rector dental facility. My initial reason for going to see Dr Rector was to have my son teeth examined and clean. Arrival to the facility it is clean, the lawn is kept up well, the building itself is clean, the inside of the facility is extremely clean, there are adequate sitting areas for all to sit comfortably and there soft, colorful cushion chairs for the toddlers to sit. The staff were extremely attentive, informative, and professional. Their attire was clean, and they addressed all of my needs for my son. The staff made him comfortable, they walked my toddler through everything they were doing. The staff was patient and my son questions were addressed properly and on a level he could understand. The staff described what each tool they were using. Which this offered me comfort knowing they was educating us as well. I highly recommend Dr Rector. ****While the experience from Dr Rector and his staff was extremely good, there was an issue that occurred in the lobby upon waiting to receive services. There was another parent whose child behavior was extremely dangerous, aggressive, scary, and unsafe. My son preferred to be left alone. The aggressive child threw chairs, he hit my son, and he even attempted several times to take my son tablet away from him. The mother did not make no efforts to get her child, get onto her child for his reckless behavior, and teach him to not put his hands on others. I am not mad at the child simply because he is a child. I was extremely infuriated with the mother of that wild child because that mother is responsible for him and it is not my place to chastise another child except my own. I had no choice but to assert myself and beg the child to go to his mom and he did not go and he did not even register my wishes. His mother then proceeded to walk towards me and said” do not speak to my child” I would not have to assert myself if the mother acted sooner because the wild child behavior was concerning, unsafe, hostile, aggressive, dangerous, and scary. Parents we need to do a better job at home by teaching our kids boys and girls no means no. My child is not entitled to share and play if he chooses not to. Parents with special need kids need to be alongside their kids at all times. We all have to co exist but I’m putting in work to teach my child about healthy boundaries so can you. Little girls need to be learning to quit putting hands on boys and then when they get hit back from a child defending themselves that’s when they remember they are girls and that’s not acceptable. Parents whose children are aggressive need to also remove their children and teach them about consent, seek professional help, and act sooner. We should be able as parents to go to one another in confidence regarding our children. This is a collective and we must work together but it’s unfair for girls and boys to hit, steal, and not respect a child. My child does not have to speak, share, and play if he chooses not to. If your child has autism and special needs I would think that child parents should be there by that child. Don’t get mad when I assert myself when my son does not give your child what they want which is not his concern. Teach kids consent, to be respectful of others wishes, and teach little girls to quit hitting on boys if they don’t want to get hit back from someone defending themselves from their aggressive behavior. Dr Rector and his staff professionally helped me regarding this problem, he continued service, he manage to keep his professionalism at all times, he acted as a parent and as a business owner, his staff apologized for the inconveniences and they proceeded to provide us with their service and schedule another appointment. To anyone I highly recommend Dr Rector.
We had a wonderful experience at Dr. Rector’s office. From our initial visit to our procedure his staff was top notch. My four year old had a few teeth that need immediate attention. His staff worked with me quickly to get us in and to get the procedure scheduled. The day off was good and I was able to go back there with my son. It warmed my heart to know that Dr. Rector and his staff truly care about my child. He talked to my son about what he was going to do and the cool tools he needed to help complete his task. Dr. Rector was quick with the procedure and made sure I understand everything before it took place. We highly recommend them.
