My wife has been a patient of Dr. Williamson's office for over 6 years now. I finally moved to the practice myself. I have to say I don't think I have ever been treated better at a dental office in all of my 52 years. They explained everything to me that needed to be done so I understood and the front desk went over my insurance coverage and broke down the levels of my treatment. I am very impressed by the care and knowledge they gave me. My wife said..."Told you!" :) Thank you Dr. Williamson and staff for a great experience! I will definitely tell all my family and friends. I have been a patient at Raleigh Comprehensive Dentistry for almost 20 years. The care I received from the doctor and his team of hygienists was always top-notch (hence the 2 stars), but it was their billing practices and front office customer service that ended up causing me to leave and find another dental practice. Most specifically, they didn't have any way for patients to pay electronically from home, so I had to either mail an old-school check, which is unnecessarily laborious in the year 2024, or call the office to give them my credit card by phone, which they refused to keep on file. Furthermore, they sent their payment reminders at the end of the day on Thursdays and are closed on most Fridays, making it so that even if I called them right away, which I did, they were not available until the following Monday. Since it's unsafe to leave my credit card details on a voice message, I would ask them to call me on Monday, and then they would not call. Since in my mind I was waiting to hear back from them, I'd go on with my life until I received another payment reminder via email, and the cycle of phone tag continued. Just over a week ago (Thu, Jun 27, 4:11 PM), I got an email that they were sending my bill to collections. This was very upsetting to me since I have been a patient for almost two decades. I called right away, left a message conveying my frustration, and asked that the doctor himself call me to discuss my concerns. By 2 PM the following Monday, when I had not heard from anyone regarding my message, I called again and reached Nancy, the billing manager. Coincidentally, Nancy had sent me a nine-paragraph email on Fri, Jun 28, 5:37 PM (mind you, they were CLOSED) defending herself for her poorly-timed billing follow-up emails and the doctor's decision to not utilize reasonable payment technology. This frustrated me even more since, in the time it took her to write that very long email, she could have simply called. When I reached her just after 2 PM on Monday, Jul 1, I expressed my frustrations again, and asked her if the doctor had declined my request for a call to sort things out. She responded that he said he would call when he "had time" but that "he's extremely busy with patients and then on vacation for the holiday". My response was that I was disappointed to hear that, and that if he didn't see the potential of losing a longtime patient as urgent, then maybe I need to find another dentist. Nancy kept repeating over and over, "Dr. Williamson cares about his patients." My response was that if that is the case, I look forward to getting a call from him by the end of the week; otherwise, I'd have no choice but to seek out a new dentist and share my unfortunate experience on Google, which is my right as a customer. Instead of hearing from the doctor, on Wed Jul 3, 10:23 AM I received a very condescending call from his attorney accusing me of threatening to slander the doctor online in my conversation with Nancy. I told him that I was very disappointed to be hearing from him instead of the doctor and that I have zero intentions of slandering anyone, as I am a business owner myself. He said, "that's all I needed to hear." I said, "Then this conversation is over, goodbye," and I hung up. He proceeded to call back a second time at 10:25 AM leaving me a 32 second voicemail scolding me for hanging up on him, and doubled-down on making sure I understand the "seriousness of the situation". This to me feels like it possibility borders on harassment. If you look at all of my other reviews on Google, they are all 5 stars. I take zero pleasure in sharing this publicly, and do not deserve to be treated like a delinquent, or a “Karen”.

Had to cancel an appointment for the FIRST time because I got sick literally hours before my appointment time. They charged me a $55 missed appointment fee anyway. Update: They said it was a bookkeeping error and refunded the fee.

Super frustrated with this dental office. I’ve been going here for years, but recently they’ve dropped the ball when it comes to customer service and accommodating needs. My dad had to reschedule two appointments due to work, and when he tried to make the third appointment, they told him that he is no longer a patient due to having too many cancellations. No warning, just removed from the office as a customer despite years of patronage and financial support. And today, when I need them to send my x-ray to the oral surgeon, they are conveniently out of office and not answering my calls. I asked for this yesterday, and they replied like they had completed the task. I’m super frustrated and will be switching offices after this. It really sucks because the actual dentists and dental assistants are very sweet. Hope things improve and fast.

All staff are professional, knowledgeable and kind. Their team has done an excellent job at covid precautions, making the office a safe place. I actually enjoyed and even look forward to going to the dentist now. Dr.Williamson explained everything to me and made sure I understood what they were going to do at my treatment appointment. Definitely recommending them to my family and friends. Dr. Williamson and his team are the best in Raleigh!
