I am so impressed with the level of service from Portland Smiles. I had a pretty painful tooth ache and I didn't previously have a local dentist. A friend recommended Portland Smiles, and within 15 or so minutes from the time I filled out an intake form online, someone (a real person!) texted me, with availability and next steps. Somehow they were able to see me the same day and everyone I interacted with was equally helpful. For context, I moved here from Nashville and I’m on a 6-month wait list for a new PCD and the last time I needed a prescription refill I had to play phone tag between the pharmacy and my old PCD for two weeks, calling an automated line and selecting numbers that led nowhere, leaving messages with no returned calls, SO, I was bracing for the worst. This was a breath of fresh air. Even now, knowing I need a root canal 😳. Truly! Thank you, guys!

Nov 25, 2024 · Anna DeLongI had a highly negative experience at this office. I received many fillings from dr. Buss, all of which left me in a lot of pain for months afterwards. I told dr. Buss about the pain multiple times and she said to just wait and let it go away with time, even after I stressed the abnormality of the pain. I had to switch dentists and and ended up needing to get most of the fillings replaced after finding out almost all of them were coming loose. It’s been 6 months and I am still left with a lot of sensitivity that I didn’t have prior to seeing dr. Buss. It’s really upsetting to have trusted a dentist to do so much work in my mouth. I highly regret going here. I now go to Gentle Dental in Biddeford and am having a much better experience. p.s. Dr. Buss and the dental assistant discussed weight loss topics with each other multiple times during my treatment. As someone recovering from disordered eating, this was not only an inappropriate conversation to have in front of a patient, but also triggering. Be more mindful.
