I never write bad reviews, but my recent experience with this dental office was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. During my 6yo daughter’s second visit for a couple of small fillings, she was given laughing gas and numbing gel. However, the assistant mistakenly numbed the wrong side of her mouth—the lower left—while the work was being done on the upper right. I noticed something was wrong when Dr Karr mentioned the upper side, but I thought she might have misspoken. When the injection began, my daughter screamed in intense pain and started crying, asking to go home. I jumped up to console her. She has never screamed like this at a single visit, they usually commend her on how awesome she is. And now she doesn’t want to go back to the dentist ever. Very traumatic ? When I questioned the assistant after the numbing injection finally kicked in and my daughter calmed down a bit, the assistant claimed she’d numbed the top right side, which was untrue. When I later addressed this with Dr Karr, she claimed she “wasn’t in the room” to confirm what happened so she can’t say anything. This lack of accountability felt unprofessional. Dr Karr asked how she could make things right, but honesty and accountability would have been a good start. Instead, she attempted to downplay the situation, even implying the numbing gel was optional. I explained that every procedure I’ve had involved both the gel and the injection for comfort and I’m an adult. I can only imagine how painful that was for my daughter. The lack of care shown to my daughter’s comfort was upsetting. There was also no follow-up call to check on my daughter’s well-being after they closed hours ago, which furthered my disappointment. Pathetic and insensitive ??? On top of this, I discovered that although the office claims to accept all insurances, they’re not actually in-network with any, leading to unexpectedly high bills. Despite good insurance coverage, we found out we were being billed out-of-network rates, with confusing prepayment requirements each visit. Their billing manager even admitted this was the reason for the high costs after inconsistent quotes each time. Last visit they tried to call and say I owed $800 but it actually turns out I have a credit on the account still. Still waiting on my refund check to be mailed out. Sadly, I will not be returning with my daughter, and I’ll be sharing this experience with others in our Moms groups. Lesson learned …. Please advocate for your children and stay away from places like this. ?

We love love love this practice. My daughter has been going since she was 3, and she is now 11. Every visit is pleasant! They are thorough and helpful and SO nice to my daughter. I wouldn’t take her anywhere else. ? I wish I had a dentist like this when I was a kid.

Dr. Karr and her staff are so amazing with my boys. She fixed my first borns lip tie when he was only 10 weeks old and was the only one in this area to actually listen and help me. I found my kids forever dentist.

We love Dr. Karr and the dental assistants! They are all so friendly! They explain everything thoroughly, and help my children feel comfortable and safe.

We love LMK! My kids always feel comfortable. Dr Karr is great and always answers my questions.
