Pediatric Dental Associates of Ambler

My daughter has been seeing Dr Thomas since she was 6 years old. Today was her last visit because she is gonna be 17 soon. My daughter has autism and Dr Thomas really took her time making my daughter comfortable during her visit. We love Dr Thomas. Thank you so much for making each visit a nice experience. My son has a bit of dental anxiety but the dentists and hygienists here are all so friendly to him which eases his mind. They are always happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I may have regarding treatment. Facility is clean and there is plenty of parking. I do wish that the front desk check in and check out staff are friendlier. They really seem like this office is the last place they want to be and make it very obvious with their attitude. I understand customer focused jobs can be draining (trust me, I did it for years during college), but with the gloomy moods is the last thing I need to feel as though our appointment is a burden and an annoyance!

We absolutely love this practice! We now have three kids, and they are able to see them at the same time. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the dentist is thorough and efficient. I love the open setup so that I can easily check on my three. Last fall, we also had to make an emergency appointment for my oldest, and I was able to schedule an appointment before school. Highly recommend!

The worst dentist office I've tried to communicate with. I called them to make an appointment to pull out my daughter's baby tooth because it is in the way of the new permanent tooth and refuses to fall out. So first, I was told that the earliest appointment is in over a month from when I called. Ok, fine, I agree to the proposed date... Then I called again to confirm the appointment and finally called again THE day of the appointment to confirm some details. NEVER ONCE I was told that the child has to be accompanied by an adult 21y.o. or older. So when our 19yo babysitter brought my daughter to the appointment she was turned around and sent home. 19 years old is legally an adult pretty much everywhere in the US except for liquor stores and this dental office. The most outrageous thing - they said "call our office and make a new appointment in DECEMBER" which is over a month out. When I called to raise an issue the person on the phone unsuccessfully tried to reach the office (looks like they have a central call center somewhere, maybe in India, who knows). I asked to escalate the issue and was told that the office manager will call me back, which still has not happened. I'm still waiting for the call... Bottom line - I guess, if you need just a cleaning, you are gonna be fine here. They do it fine and somewhat fast. If you need anything more complex or urgent - better go somewhere else where they care about their patients.

My daughter had such a wonderful experience. She is only 3 years old and sat all by herself and followed all the instructions. The dental hygienist was great as well as Dr. Allen . We could not have asked for a better experience. My daughter walked out happy and said she loved the doctors.
