Fantastic experience! The team is so friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain my treatment options, and I felt completely at ease. Best dental clinic around
I’ve been to many dental clinics, but this one is by far the best! The treatments are effective, and the team is always so kind and attentive. They really know how to take care of their patients.
This dental clinic truly stands out in the area! The team is incredibly helpful and friendly, making each visit a pleasant one. I appreciate their excellent customer service and valuable advice.

Edwin and the team at Pasadena Family really took care of me. In a crunch time with insurance running out, they were able to work around my very busy work schedule to get my the care and procedures I needed. Very kind and skilled people at this practice!!
I've been coming to this dentistry for over 5 years. I was initially happy and satisfied with their work because I felt I finally had found an ethical practice. The hygienists were always nice, informative, and respectful. However, I always felt pushed (by Edwin and at a different level by dr. Karimyan) into getting treatment I didn't really need. When I started coming here, I got deep cleaning and peridontal treatment. I was scheduled to come for cleaning every 3 months. Everytime, I paid from $175 to $275. I have a conjoint crown done at another dentistry. Dr. Karimyan said we'd leave it as my teeth were doing well. However, she suggested a bridge or implant on a missing tooth. In going over the coverage, Edwin who's always been rude and dismissive, was unable to clarify the full price and told me I had to pay $2800 co-payment for the bridge or $4000 for the implant when the job was done based on what I decided. I asked follow up questions and his response was "do you want it or not?" Although, they kept on pushing for that work, I kept on declining. I kept on coming back for peridontal treatment and cleaning. Toward the end of every year, I was being pressured to use all of my insurance benefits. Dr. insisted I had so many benefits I was losing (but insurance doesn't cover 100% and the work to be done was pretty expensive). Last year, she said I needed to get rid of my conjoint crown because I couldn't floss. In a scolding tone, she said showing her fingers, "5 years, 5 years, I've been telling you that it needs to be replaced..." She explained that illness starts in the mouth. She told me I needed to remove my amalgam and replace them with onlays because you're supposed to change amalgams every 5 years. She told me I needed to get porcelain crowns. When Edwin discussed the share of cost, he was working on someone else's file on the screen which was visible to me (HIPPA violation), and wasn't paying attention to my questions. He answered telephone calls, and then, He briefly looked at my file and told me tooth was separating from the bone (he's not qualified to give this information). He explained the doctor wanted to give me "the top of the notch" and gave me prices. I told him I was going to think about it. He appeared upset and cut me off. I returned April this year and once again, declined the bridge. I agreed for the Dr to cover a small fracture on my tooth where the bridge would be attached to. That costed almost $300. Anyhow, I met once again with Edwin and told him I would postpone the crowns because my insurance had changed. I was supposed to returned in July, but cancelled due to conflicted schedule. I haven't scheduled another appointment as I'm not planning to come back. I've gotten an email requesting to schedule an appointment because my benefits are ending. What's led me to move away from this dentistry is that every time I had an interaction with Edwin, I felt disrespected. I am aware that this is also a training clinic, and you don't need to be highly educated to know that your hygienists are interns (that's okay with me). You don't need to be a doctor to know that some illnesses start in the mouth and are not related to teeth problem as Dr. Karimyan implied (Please , don't insult my intelligence) I also read articles of research done as related to replacing amalgams. So, please consider that your patients can also be knowledgeable. You're not talking to a 5 year old. You don't need to have expertise on finances to know that you're be ripped off. Edwin is obviously rude, disrespectful, and lacks genuinness when attempting to exhibit professionalism. He is one of the most unprofessional, dismissive, and disrespectful individuals I've come across. Bottom line, I'm not happy with this dentistry. It just give me the impression it lacks the ethics I thought it had.
Pasadena Family Dentistry is truly the best in town. Dr. K is very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. While Edwin at the front desk made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I really recommend Dr. K to anyone looking for a great dentist.
went in and they told me i had 11 cavities that needed to be filled asap and stated that i needed a deep cleaning. one of the dental hygienists was unprofessional enough to gasp at a photo of one of my cavities which looked like a normal cavity. they quoted me about $4000 to fill them all. i went to 2 other dentists for second opinions and both told me i only had two cavities total and absolutely did not need a deep cleaning. both dentists were shocked to hear this dentists diagnosis. clearly money hungry and ridiculous. obviously not leaving my name.
I've had such a wonderful experience at Pasadena Family Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. I am usually terrified going to the dentist, but everyone at the office is so nice. I have periodontal issues, and so I have to come in every 3 months for deep cleanings. The doctor is very gentle, and always informs me of what she is doing & what will come. I highly recommend it here!
