Parkside Dental Practice

I just had my first appointment with this practice and it was literally the best dentist appointment I've ever had in my life. No one likes dentist appointments, but I have to say I will never dread going again. My hygienist, Becca, was so kind and sweet. Dr. Simmons was so patient and informative. I felt so comfortable and not just rushed out or up charged like other practices I've been to. Highly recommend.

Taylor is my usual hygienist, and she is great! She's got great attention to detail, and she doesn't mind teaching me what she's observing about my teeth/ gums. I always leave with a fresh clean set of teeth! Dr. Simmons is very gentle. She really wants you to be comfortable, and that's easy here! I used to have a fear of the dentist, but not anymore thanks to Parkside!! Oh yeah, and on your birthday they email a happy birthday video. Very thoughtful! That's sweet of them.

My family and I have been going to this dentist for years. I loved this dentist, this is the first bad experience I had here. It was enough for me to make sure my coworkers and family that go here know what was said to me. My husband had a bad tooth and the ladies at the front worked really hard to get him in for like two appointments. Due to his job and holiday time I had to reschedule both those appointments in a timely manner a week or so before the appointment. He was finally able to get off work and I set the appointment for this morning. Well he had an emergency at work and had no choice but to go in. I called to let them know and apologize. The lady I spoke to told me that you need to understand that when you don’t follow through with appointments it messes with our production. I told her understand and I was sorry it wasn’t intentional. I also let her know that I thought was rude to say that to a customer. I completely understand that it is an inconvenience and I would have respected if you told me that I would be charged a no show fee but to tell me I am hurting the offices production is unprofessional. I called back to speak to a manager and someone else who said she would be next in line because the manager wasn’t there told me that she heard the conversation and didn’t see anything wrong in what was said to me. I told her that I would like to wait and speak to the manager and she told me that the manager would say the same thing to me. She then preceded to say maybe this dentist isn’t the place for your husband. You are correct it isn’t and speaking to customers this way will get your office shut down quickly.

I love this place. I had gotten behind on my kids dental care but they were great about helping us get back on track without judgement. Always a pleasant experience from the second you walk in.

This location is no longer in network with any insurance carriers. You will only be able to use out of network benefits. Nobody notified us of this change prior to providing services. Nor does their website clearly state that they do not partner with insurance companies for in network benefits. We received a bill for a routine cleaning much higher than normal. When I called to ask why our in network benefits were not being used (the same plan we previously used with this same dentist), the billing contact let me know they are not in network with any insurances anymore. Not exactly professional to not notify your patients up front about this change.
