Open and Affordable Dental

Found this place online from looking at reviews. I have horrible dentist anxiety, and just the thought of going, even for a cleaning, terrifies me. From the time I walked in, the energy just felt good, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Amaya was my dental hygienist, and couldn't have been sweeter- I genuinely believed she had been doing this for much longer, because she is so efficient and confident with what she's doing, and all with a great bedside manner. I forgot the name of my Dentist, but he was great too. They absolutely do not try to do a bunch of stuff you don't need, and are transparent and thoroughly explained everything and why it's needed. I won't name names, but I saw a different local dentist maybe a month ago, who told me I had 5 cavities and needed a bunch of other stuff that my insurance would "probably not cover" that totaled around $400. I had a bad feeling about them, as their bedside manner was awful from everyone I had dealt w, but chalked it up to my nerves. Anyway I decided to try this place and just see what they said .... And they told me everything looked great, no cavities and that I only needed a couple very minor fillings for grinding. What I'm saying is, be careful who you go to!!! As for me, I will be sticking w and recommending this place (Open and Affordable) to everyone I know!!!

When I first went into Open and Affordable, Dr Kevin Stolk, was the first person to greet me at the front desk. It has been a joy and a delight going to get my teeth worked by him. He is gentle and an excellent Dentist. I really look forward to my appointments with him and his wonderful assistants. Everyone is so friendly there. Keep up the good work!

I had an outstanding first experience to this dental practice. I have literally 0 complaints. I was having extreme pain due to what I thought was a needed root canal. I was able to call in and get an appointment for the next day. Check in was very simple and took about 5 minutes to get into the back from the time I arrived. The staff was incredible and treated me with kindness and respect. Dr. Hoblitzell took the time to discuss solutions with me and offered options outside of the root canal, possibly saving me thousands of dollars. For the first time in my life I can say I am looking forward to my next visit to the dentist!!

My sessions at Open and Affordable Dental exceeded my expectations for what a positive dentist experience could be like. I have had four appointments this year after about 15 years without seeing a dentist - one of my greatest fears. If you are scared of the dentist, I suggest giving Open and Affordable a try. During each session I was met with concern and respect for my fears and sensitivities. The receptionists, hygienists, and dentists were friendly, careful, and skilled. I thank everyone involved in this practice for your knowledge, care, and commitment to the health of our community! Thank you for improving my health and restoring my confidence that a trip to the dentist won't be nightmarish experience.

Service was good but I have a question about professionalism…. I came with my daughter. She has a horrible pain under crown for 3 days. They said no infection on X-Ray, the doctor adjusted her crown and said let’s see how it is in a couple of days. If it does not help then she needs to start antibiotics and come see the doctor again to schedule an appointment with the oral surgeon for tooth extraction. I saw on the X-Ray that root canal was broken, but doctor said IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THAT and it is not broken. My daughter didn’t sleep all night today (ibuprofen didn’t help) and in the morning her gum was very swollen . I made appointment in Denver to the different dentist, he did X-Ray and said it’s huge inflammation (infection) because roots were very infected and root canal was fractured. And it cannot happen in just one day. He performed surgery on her tooth in same visit, and I didn’t even need to go to the clinic many times. Everything was done in one appointment. The doctor said if we would have waited for couple more days then her eye would not open, due to the inflammation because it was so infected.

Their office staff lied to me about the cost of a root canal and crown, splitting the cost up when I asked for the total and did not inform me of the crown cost until I came back the second time, thinking everything was already paid for. On top of that, the dentist was rough during the root canal and led to a very uncomfortable visit. I do not recommend.

I had my first appointment the other day and I was a little skeptical, but I left extremely pleased. Susan greeted me and made me feel so comfortable. She made sure that I had everything I needed to have a pleasant experience. Dr. Lovejoy was a gentleman and his manners were astounding. I have a tight budget and they made sure I was ok with the treatment plan. All in all, my first visit was a good one. They made me feel like I could trust them.
