My daughter and I were patients here. She needed cavities filled and when I disclosed she was scared of needles they immediately denied to help her. There was no discussion, they wanted me to find someone else. I took her to a kids dentist five minutes away and she was perfectly fine. The dentist there said she did amazing and was no trouble at all. I ended up taking her back to the original dentist ( Norterra) because it’s the company she also sees for her braces/ retainer once the braces were removed. They were also our main dentist with my ins. They did a cleaning and brought up how she needed her wisdom removed. They said they’d put her to sleep and she’d be fine with her needle fear. The day of the appointment the person performing the surgery seemed to be in a rush. She had one assistant taking her blood pressure and another one trying to get her to lay her head back and then the doctor trying to put the needle in her vain. There was too much going on at one point. She asked if she could have the blood cuff off while they put in the needle , and the doctors responds was just to keep saying “ are you sure you want to do this?we don’t have to do this” over and over again. My daughter is 16. She is already nervous. The cuff was so tight on her arm there was marks for two days after. There was no empathy. No patience. I took her to another dentist and they again said she did amazing and it was a breeze. My bill owed also went from over 1300 to only 260 bucks.. same insurance used. I will never go to this company again. The previous reviews will show you how much more they charge over what other companies do.

I’ve been going to Norterra Dental for a couple of years & ever since the staff have been incredibly friendly. I’m so extremely comfortable and not worried or anxious of the care that i’m in. They staff from the receptionists , the hygienists & the Drs have always made me feel like they genuinely care about not just their job, but for the people who walk through the doors as well . The hygienist Rissa was so incredibly nice & I felt so comfortable around her. She asked if I was doing okay often and made sure I was as comfortable as can be. I felt very safe & she went over everything with me. Such great caring & genuine people :)

Consistently deliver exceptional care. From the minute you walk into the office the atmosphere is so positive and staff and doctors are so friendly and the care they have for patients is apparent. Makes going to the Dentist a whole new experience.

New patient here—I really enjoyed the office and staff, no complaints there. However, I’m a bit frustrated with a recent experience. I came in and found out I needed a root canal back in march/ april and a major cleaning. I provided my dental insurance, it was processed, and I received a quote for the procedures. At the time, I wasn’t made aware of a one-year waiting period for major dental work, or else I would’ve waited. I went ahead with the procedures, with my out-of-pocket responsibility being around $2,600, which I put on credit. Coincidentally, I later referred a coworker who also needed a root canal. Strangely, she was told about the waiting period for major dental work and received a much higher quote, which led her to go elsewhere. This confused me, since we have the same insurance coverage and required the same procedure. Months passed, and I recently I received a call stating that they weren’t aware I had a one-year waiting period for major procedures I had done in March/April, and now I owe an additional $350 on top of the $2,600 I have beeing working to pay off. While my dental plan did cover part of the cost, it seems unreasonable to be informed about this extra charge months after the procedure. Had I been told about the waiting period back in April, I would’ve waited until I met the one-year mark to get the procedure done, possibly with a different price. It’s disappointing to find out this way. Unsure if I should be upset with staff or insurance in general. PERSONALLY I BELIEVE MY EXPERIENCE RESMEBLES THIS OTHER PERSONS "5 months ago Check your insurance before letting them perform any services!!!! They will give you a quote without contacting your insurance and you will be responsible for the difference. I was talked into an upgrade that I was led to believe was covered under my insurance. I paid my portion at the time of service and a month later was presented with a bill for $500 additional. I called and inquired about the additional, they told me that my insurance had refused to pay. I then called my insurance, who told me that the upgrade wasn't covered under the plan. I believe they should have known this prior to offering me the quote (since they require your insurance information prior to any visit). Beware of the upsell, most of the standard options are covered by insurance, it's the upgrades that will cost you the customer. Update: I did attempt to call and work out a possible discount and was only offered a payment plan. I doubt my family or myself will be returning as a patient."

I took today off of work to get a bunch of errands done. Going to the dentist for an annual check up / cleaning was on that list. I scheduled the appointment for 1:15. Arrived at 1:08 to fill paper work. Sat in the front office until 1:45 before I realized 3 different people had check in after me and were called back before. I waited till 1:50 to say something as I only set just enough time in my schedule to get this appointment done before rushing to my next. The lady at the front desk said it would be about 5 more minutes. Waited 10 and still nothing. I normally don’t care to wait and understand when a business is busy, but when people are scheduled weeks in advance for a specific time and your entire day revolves around staying on time with things it’s quite frustrating. If they can’t manage there schedule correctly and not over book for specific times why should I trust them to work on my teeth. Decided to cancel my appointment and look elsewhere.
