New Waverly Place Dentistry is awesome. So happy with the care and service they provided me. Dr. Jenkins is so kind and fun to talk to, she and her assistant always make me feel like family. They always do their very best to accommodate my schedule and get my needs taken care of! Amazing customer service! Always helpful and friendly! I love this dental office!

I cannot recommend Dr. Zhang enough. I have a history of severe dental trauma as a kid (my dentist growing up was in his 80s and didn’t care that novacaine didn’t work on me, real Little Shop of Horrors stuff). I worked through that a decade ago with the help of the UNC Dental school and septocaine, but it’s still an issue sometimes… I started seeing Dr. Zhang about a year ago and had my first filling with him and his hygienist Gail today. I cannot say enough about their kindness, calm, amazing bedside manner, and skill. I. Felt. Nothing. I knew what was happening the whole time, felt supported and cared for. I’m literally crying in my car right now. I can’t believe that I’m looking forward to my next filling experience,

During my regular checkup and cleaning, Dr. Zhang and his staff displayed great professionalism and courtesy. The receptionist was very helpful and patient when there appeared to be an issue with my insurance which was later resolved. The teeth cleaning was very accommodating as the hygienist would constantly make sure that I was comfortable.

I highly recommend Dr. Zhang. He has the rare combination of excellent technical expertise and great patient relationship skills. He answers all questions thoughtfully and in layperson's terms. I've never felt rushed. During examinations and treatments, he explains what he is doing and why. In the case of my last cavity filling, he took photos of my tooth's original situation, the cleaned/ready for filling application, and the final result. Afterwards, he showed me the photos and we discussed what I was seeing. As an appreciative bonus, he has a gentle touch unlike some of my previous dentists. I began seeing him ~2 years ago when he bought out the retiring owner. At my first appointment with him, a photo of my jaw was taken as part of baselining my teeth. To my shock as I had no pain or other indicators, I had a large area infection due to a microcrack in a front tooth. I went to an endodontist for treatment. Happily, the infection is gone.

Dr. Zhang, and his staff strive for excellence. I've been to this office on more than one occasion. The office is very clean, and embodies a sense of organization. One thing you will get here is an honest, and predictable treatment plan. I've known Dr. Zhang for quite some time, and he values his patients care above all. I feel the experience is very much catered for the patient, and you do not feel like another check off mark for an office. Dr. Zhang truly cares for the dental profession, his patients, and his work. His referrals have nothing but great things to say, and I personally have experienced a very family oriented local dentist feel from this office. Local owned family dentistry is on a decline, and so its very refreshing to see an office provide a non-corporate experience. Thank you!
