I have been a patient of Dr. Nagy for over 20 years, he and the staff has always treated me with great care and professionalism. I highly recommend.
I went here needing a bad tooth extracted. The Dr numbed me once then tried to pull the tooth but I was experiencing too much pain (I wasn't completely numb) so he tried numbing me a 2nd time same result. The pain was too much to bare. After the 3rd try of numbing by this point I have had enough pain. I stated I'm done with this I'll go somewhere and be put under for this procedure. He condescendingly says good luck with that and continues to say that is was anxiety I was having issues with. I have had multiple teeth extracted and I'm never really that anxious. This was by far the worst experience and the worst customer service and the most least professional doctor I've ever met. My kids nor my family will be going back to this establishment.
NEVER AGAIN. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever encountered, from the physicians to the staff. So my husband needed to be seen for this nasty abscess he has. He goes in & the physician came in to see him, never introduced himself, then told him he couldn’t save his tooth & pulled it. Didn’t even address his abscess. Also during this visit, the physician told him that he needed to go to the dentist more & my husband told him that he hadn’t had insurance until recently & the physician proceeded to say “our treatment isn’t that expensive, just quit buying so much stuff & you can afford it”. Clearly very unprofessional. Then I go to the pharmacy to pick up his prescription & was told since he wasn’t an established patient there so they couldn’t fill but the drs office should’ve called me & told me that so we could switch it but neither of us ever received a call. So I then called them & they said they would call it in now to the new pharmacy & this was around 2:30pm. I show up to the pharmacy at 5:30pm & there is still no prescription. Called the office again & the woman who I spoke to was extremely unprofessional & asked if he could wait until tomorrow & I said no he just had a dental procedure so he needs his antibiotics so she put me on hold & called the dr who didn’t answer so I was told I’d get a call back when he responds. They have no regards of patient care.
At first I loved this dentist. Now I’m not happy. I saw them first in 16 and they were amazing . Now I’m waiting upward of over two months for a cavity to be filled. Fast forward I’ve called and asked for help to see if my insurance approved it they say the sent it insurance never got it then sent it again, over a month after I was seen. Fast forward more to today. I have pain in my jaw, pain in my ear, and pain in my face. I call for a update and I’m told the resubmitted my papers and have no update. I ask how much will it cost I’ll pay it. The lady on the phone doesn’t like that I as a patient am UPSET I have waited months to make it better and now I’m hurting more than it was when I got it looked it. I took pride in this office bc I’m terrified of the dentist, they were soooo good. Now I’m going to just have to go somewhere else due to the fact the pain in my face does not matter to the people I originally went to for help and treatment.
My son has been a patient for a while. We have been to the Chapmanville office a few times and everyone there is so friendly and nice. However we started going to Charleston office due to my job. They are not friendly at all and it’s a completely different atmosphere. We drive 1.5 hours to this office. Yesterday we were ten minutes late. We tried to call to let them know we were running late but couldn’t get through. Once we got there we called to let them know we were there since we still can’t go in until they’re ready due to the COVID-19. That also took about ten minutes to get through. Once we finally got through they came out to my car asked me some questions and checked our temperatures. Another ten to fifteen minutes go by and they come back out to the car and say that they cannot see us because we were late. Granted we were about ten minutes late but an office is supposed to have a fifteen minute window. Also I have been to this office many times and I have NEVER been late for an appointment. Needless to say we will NOT be going back to this dentist.
