We love Dr. Shems and staff! I remember going to the orthodontist when I was young; it was a hole in the wall, down dark steps, into a dreary, outdated office that I never wanted to go to. Dr. Shems is so the opposite. It is open, bright, inviting. There are multiple places to sit in comfort while you wait, colorful artwork/pictures and some cool distractions (like this frost wall!). The technology progressive. There is an app where scans are uploaded and you can communicate with the doctor. Even new offerings like the Invisalign palate expander (who knew?) My son’s favorite, the “ortho bucks” which he can redeem for prizes.

We love Dr Shems and her team! Peaceful atmosphere, loving and kind team that takes time to explain everything and somehow makes orthodontist visits fun! From my daughter - “They are super supportive and make it super fun. I always want to go. I love how they reward you for doing a good job. But above everything, they’re all supportive, tell me what they’re going to do and I always walk out with a smile.”

Super friendly, great staff. Easy to work with for everything from scheduling to billing to the actual experience of getting (and maintaining) braces. Highly recommend. They really make it fun for kids, especially the ones on the younger side. My 8yo loves it here. My 14yo finds it very nice and friendly if a little aimed at the younger set.

The whole staff is awesome, super friendly and everyone does great work. My son's palate expander worked so well we can avoid braces for the time being. The office is very welcoming and my kids love all the fun decor!

We have had a wonderful experience with my son’s palate expansion. He got invisilign, which was super easy. The staff was so nice and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing orthodontics.
