The best experience I’ve had at the dentist - nice office, amazing staff, and everything ran efficiently and on time. The room I was in was so relaxing it almost felt like being at the spa - it had a huge window with a view of trees (amazing for NYC!) and a TV playing nature scenes. All of the front desk staff were wonderful, and my hygienist Harvel was incredible - did an amazing & pain-free job, so friendly and positive, was able to thoroughly answer every question and gave me helpful advice. Also did a great job cleaning up around my permanent retainer. I was in just for a cleaning and didn’t need any additional work, so I only saw Dr. VanMeter for a few minutes, but he was really friendly as well. Overall, everything was smooth, efficient, clean, & enjoyable.

I have been going to Manhattan Dental Arts for over 15 years. The front desk staff are wonderful, the dental hygienists are amazing and Dr. Jaron Vanmeter is Amazing at his job and also an awesome person in general. If you ever have the misfortune of having to get a root canal, there is nobody better than Dr. Evan Lynn. During my root canal, he made me feel at ease and made the entire thing 100% painless. All around, very trustworthy and professional. Highly recommend.

I went to Jaron Vanmeter for an Invisalign consult, but I left feeling patronized and confused. I’d been to several other orthodontists/cosmetic dentists for the same thing, and every single one took the time to walk me through the process, answer my questions, and explain what was possible. Vanmeter, though? Easily the worst. He rushed through everything, was dismissive of my questions, and hurried me out of his office. I took time off of work for this, and it was incredibly frustrating that I was treated with such disdain. When I asked if there was a way to make the Invisalign attachments less noticeable, he literally scoffed and asked, ‘Is this for vanity?’ Uh, yeah—it’s a treatment that can change one’s appearance? He had the arrogance of someone who knows they can do a subpar job and face no consequences for it because he’s been rewarded for his mediocrity his entire life. The office staff and other dentists were nice, and if you’re looking for a basic cleaning this place is good. But if you’re looking for a dentist who can offer talent and a decent level of respect, I’d go elsewhere

The business model at Manhattan Dental Arts seems to include constant, rather aggressive efforts to pressure the patient to agree to additional procedures (at additional cost). I found this not only irritating but offensive and unprofessional. I went for the $199 “new patient” visit. The cleaning, which I would have thought was routine, turned out to be another $250. So, $450 total. Plus two more sales pitches, which I declined. I will not be going back.

I've been a patient at Manhattan Dental Arts for several years, and while the dental team is amazing, especially Sarah, who gives the best cleaning I've ever had, my recent experiences with their administrative staff have been disappointing. Over the years, I've referred five people to them because of the excellent dental care I received. However, the admin staff has been terrible to deal with and has overshadowed the dental team's fantastic work, making the patient experience horrible. In April 2024, I changed my insurance and came in for a cleaning. The insurance wasn't activated yet, but I was told by Desya that it wasn't an issue. I could pay out of pocket, and once the insurance was activated, they would contact the insurance and reimburse me. Desya assured me that the whole process would take a few weeks. I paid out of pocket, but three months later, I am still chasing Manhattan Dental Arts. I've called several times and emailed many times, but they ignore my inquiries and keep making excuses. They always say they will update me on the status, but they never do. This incident follows my mother-in-law's terrible experience with the admin team as well. Because of these ongoing issues, I had to stop going, and my entire family has stopped going to Manhattan Dental Arts as well. It's unfortunate that such an excellent dental team is overshadowed by an unresponsive and inefficient administrative staff.
