Subject: A Stellar Experience at The Loren Dental I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Loren Dental and was absolutely blown away by the level of care and professionalism I received. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. However, what truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding work of dental assistant Jenna. Jenna's expertise and compassionate demeanor were evident from the start. She explained procedures clearly and in a way that was easy to understand, even for someone like me who isn't particularly knowledgeable about dentistry. She answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly, ensuring that I felt informed and at ease. The entire team at The Loren Dental was friendly and efficient, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The facility itself was clean and modern, and I was impressed by the advanced technology they use. If you're looking for a dentist who truly cares about your well-being and provides exceptional care, I highly recommend The Loren Dental and, in particular, dental assistant Jenna. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of their practice. I would also like to mention that Jenna's ability to connect with patients is truly remarkable. She has a way of making you feel like you're the only patient in the room, and her genuine care and concern are evident in everything she does. I was so impressed with her that I decided to write this review to share my experience with others.

I went to Loren Dental for a second consult today. I had a terrible experience at my prior dentist and they were telling me i needed a whole lot of expensive services. My daughter-in-law had a great experience at Loren Dental and recommended them. I was so relieved when I left their office. I was treated with kindness, caring, compassion, professionalism and given the honest truth--I don't need any dental work done right now. The cost of services are comparable to other offices and I'm very happy to have found my new dental office!

Awesome dentist! I know it’s a major cliche to have a fear of dentists but I have had real bad experiences in the past when I was a kid so coming here has helped turn that around. I felt comfortable and both assistant and dentist were very friendly and gentle which is what made everything so much easier with such a long appointment for how much I needed done!

Today was a pleasant visit. The staff was nice. However, I would have liked more instructions on how to take care of my extractions. I was given a gauze, and a toothbrush because I asked. Your customers should have the best experience so much that you would recommend your family and friends.

My experience with Downtown Dental was beyond disappointing – it was a nightmare. Upon my first visit, they diagnosed me with multiple cavities and periodontal disease, recommending an extensive list of treatments that seemed excessive. Seeking a second opinion from several other dentists revealed shocking results – none of them confirmed the diagnoses made by Downtown Dental. In fact, I had no cavities or periodontal disease whatsoever. To make matters worse, I reluctantly started treatment based on their initial recommendations (before seeking second opinions), only to discover that they arbitrarily increased prices and procedures without informing me. For example, they upgraded a simple one-surface filling to a two-surface filling without my consent or explanation. They even scheduled a procedure for a new tooth without disclosing that it had a cavity, which I only found out about when I received the bill and had to investigate myself. The incompetence extended to their front desk staff, who were consistently rude and unhelpful. On one occasion, I called because I was experiencing severe tooth pain, which had become super sensitive after a cleaning done by one of the dentists (which is still very sensitive after this day), and needed an urgent appointment. Shockingly, the front desk refused to schedule me, insisting that the tooth in question already had a cavity – despite this being completely untrue. Overall, my experience with Downtown Dental was characterized by incompetence, dishonesty, and a blatant disregard for patient care. I strongly advise anyone seeking dental care to steer clear of this establishment. They prioritize profit over patient well-being and lack basic ethics in their practice.

I used to shake when I was at the dentist even when I knew they obviously weren't going to hurt me, but I couldn't help it. I found this dentist office randomly though some insurance I had and based on how close they were to me but OMG it's the best dentist place I've ever been. I recently moved to Durham but I'm still driving to Raleigh because even though it's an errand, a task! That I need to get done, they always make the experience feel like a spa day. I'm not rich so I often skip my getting my nails done, so coming for a basic dental cleaning and having it be so nice, so well done, so kind, everyone is so nice and calming, that no matter how bad your day has been, they make the dentist office feel like a treat or a spa day and I love that so much that rather or not my insurance at my new job covers it, I will probably still come to them any way because they go so above and beyond to create a non stressful experience for what is normally a very stressful experience for people. I love them so much. I thought going to the dentist was going to be the worst part of my day and it honestly turned out to be the best ending in a hot lavender towel. Amazing and completely worth every cent.

***Must read*** I wasn't going to leave a review, but after they decided to send me 6 notifications to leave one I might as well. I called the day prior to update my insurance. I was told it was all good and accepted. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. Nobody checked in with me after that. 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time, I FINALLY get taken in. I get a delay. I get being short handed. You never once checked in with me to let me know they're behind. Once in the cleaning room, I get told "BTW you don't have insurance coverage and you'll need to pay $XXX out of pocket". Of course you didn't update my insurance and still had the old information. 40 minutes past my appointment "okay your cleaning is covered but here's another $$ we're not sure if they're gonna cover" lol. By that point I wanted out. Decided to cancel mine and my wife's appointment. Will not be coming back and I'd recommend a different dentist office if you expect reliability and professionalism.
