Lombard Smiles

My last visit was completely horrible. Beforehand I had decent appointments. One of the assistants is lovely!! Outside of that? -maybe you have to catch them on certain days though the last visit was one to remember. I will be switching clinics... The doctor was extremely forceful when numbing no regards to if I was still feeling pain. I basically had to stomach getting a deep feeling drilled while he ignored my tears / body reacting in shakes. He even looked up at the Assistance stating that he was "going to need a shot" after this- As if I was an uncontrollable child. I have an extremely high pain tolerance, many tattoos! Not my first rodeo with the dentist either, let alone if a patient is under pain instead of rushing it why don't you just take the time to tend to them appropriately? My face was swollen for days let alone the experience was traumatizing. So once again I guess you have to catch them on the right day or else you're going to get the ultimate experience with the doctor.

This is third appointment at Smiles and they know their practice. On the first appointment, I wanted a cleaning, only to find I needed a root canal and was prescribed to a specialist. Second appoint, I had to have two fillings. I had no pain other than the slight discomfort of a needle to numb my teeth. Third appointment, I finally got my teeth cleaned. The Doc was so great trying to give me as much relief as possible. Gave me a numbing agent, but I’ve had my teeth cleaned before and there isn’t much pleasure in the process. The Doc continually insisted on giving me a numbing agent and I refused. It wasn’t comfortable, as I indicated previously from previous Dentists, however, it was bearable. Long story short, he did a great job and knew his practice. He didn’t come to me, I came to him. I have no complaints and can understand a little pain. It wasn’t his fault, he was just doing his job. He kept apologizing and offering me more numbing agents which I refused like I mentioned before. He’s whole team was professional as was he.

They treat people like people! Dr. Ramirez and staff are just the nicest people! I have a lot of anxiety around the dentist due to previous bad experiences at other places. Dr. Ramirez is very comforting and never made me feel bad about my anxiety and instead is extremely patient and reassuring. Alma and Olivia and all of the front office staff are always very helpful and supportive. The techs/hygienists are always pleasant, friendly and gentle. I don’t remember the name of the gentleman who did my cleaning today but it he was so sweet and kind! And he was so gentle it was almost relaxing to have my cleaning! No one likes going to the dentist but these guys really go above and beyond to make it suck as least as possible. 10/10 would recommend ❤️

They did not honor my appointment. It was given to someone else. They do not answer their phone and are not good about returning calls. They like to play a little game with you where they call you and offer you open appointments but then you can't reach them; by the time you do, those appointments are gone. It's a pretty fun hell vortex. They want you to play it over and over again just so you can get your cavity filled and stop being in pain. I highly recommend another dentist.

I have some special health concerns and my doctor told me to discuss them with the receptionist, who told me in an annoyed voice that she would make a note in my chart. When I came in for my appointment the hygienist said there was not a note. I have also had them lose my appointments after waiting for months.
