Dr. Ricke and his team take such good care of their patients from the time you walk into the office until the time you leave. The staff is super friendly, super positive and create an all around wonderfully calming experience. Highly recommend!

First time I have been to Dr. Douglas new office. I got directions from my husband and had no problem finding it. My wait time was minutes up arrival. Everyone was happy to see me and Heidi did a thorough cleaning. Great visit! Would highly recommend.

Dr. Ricke is always a joy to work with! He’s honest, kind and gives really thoughtful insight to his patients for their betterment! Additionally he has a great and knowledgeable team who keep the place running smoothly. I am happy to always work with them and couldn’t recommend them enough!!

Love these guys and the women too! I went through a lot of crappy Dennis before I found these guys... You can trust them to do good work, and they're all friendly and nice. I'm just happy that I can get into the best dentist in Raleigh, thank you so much for the help

Man when I tell yall I’ve had some not great experiences at a couple of unnamed dental places in Raleigh. The primary issue for me has been I couldn’t get all the way numb! At 2 different dental offices a few years between each other this happened. I was told to try to hold on as best I could. At the other I was told I shouldn’t feel anything and it’s just pressure. I was like naw that is not pressure that is pain. So I felt like I was a rare case and an inconvenience. I don’t want to make it like these were bad dentists I just felt like I was let truly heard and the reality of what I was experiencing may have been an insult to them. So I completely checked out the oral health section of my life. I’ve avoided the dentists since I was 27 and now at 47 my filling came out. So I felt I would just leave it out and keep on living but the sensitive and then the pain forced me to look at what was going on and what needed to happen. I was so distraught and nervous I eventually lost almost 20 pounds and stressed myself out over going back to the dentist. I did my research and found them online with 5 star stellar reviews but out of the reviews I read no one mentioned having an issue achieving unless and freezing. I had spoke to several other places and they weren’t as informed on the research I was able to do over the years or they couldn’t fathom a person not being able to achieve complete numbness. I called and Ms Amy answered and I explained everything to her and how terrified I was. I talked to her about having a PDL injection with septacane which is what I researched could be a fix for my situation. She locked right in on the conversation and explained to me that he could do a standard nerve block and the additional PDL injection with septacane and that sold me. I figured 2 different approaches at the same time could work for me. I told her I know they needed the exam then a separate appointment. She heard the tone of my voice and said she had a 730am appointment the next day and I said to hell with it let’s try it. The staff were informed about my atrocious anxiety and my past experiences of not freezing well. They were so gentle and sweet about how I felt and my energy. Dr. Ricke came in and introduced himself and he had an attentive and concerned energy to him and assured me I was in control with everything that was going to happen. He was ver careful with me and explained things before they happened and got the w tip with the numbing gel and placed it where he would deliver the shot. He told me what was next and how I felt before making a move. He delivered the first numbing shot and said he would check back in 5 minutes. His assistant Ms Rose was very sweet and supportive of how I felt and my anxiety. As time went he can back and delivered the PDL injection after he explained it and asked if I was comfortable. We talked after that shot and asked if I felt numbed and him and I agreed and basic dental block of lidocaine could be a supportive move so he gave that shot. I told him I was ready and he said let’s try it and again assured me I was in control and stated he felt really good about this and this would be an easy deal for me. He had a kind comfortable confidence. He did a test and I felt nothing. He said he would do another PDL injection and prepped another shot in case I may have requested or needed it for my comfort. Well y’all I got NUMB! I never thought I could go back to a dentist and get numb. From the time he officially started on my tooth it took what seemed like 7 minutes for the actual work which was awesome outside of the prep time. Before you know it I’m done and getting out of the chair and I had to give him a hug and Ms Rose a hug. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at any dental office. Nothing disingenuous or fake about the people or the place. I am happy to tears. I go back to the front and Ms Amy is like “I’m tickled you are so happy” she mentioned that she heard me talking more and said she noticed I became more and more comfortable. - Danny Anderson Jr.

Love this place and all of the employees! I moved here from out of state for college and had to find a new PCP, dentist, etc. which for me was really overwhelming but the staff here are so kind and welcoming every time! They are efficient in scheduling, organized, and really care about their patients. Highly recommend!!
