JP Orthodontics: Patel Jay R DDS

I got my braces put on in 1991 when Jay Patel started his practice. The results were fantastic still to this day. Fast forward 2012 my wife ended them at age 32. After visiting several orthodontist they recommended oral surgery. That was unacceptable to me. I found Jay Patel and he did a fantastic job on my wife’s teeth still to this day my wife thanks me for finding such a great orthodontist. Fast forward to 2023 my 8 year old son needs them. Wasn’t able to get to Jay Patel. I miss him dearly.

Doctor Jay Patel is a very shady businessman with horrible ethics. He entered into a contract with me to purchase a motorcycle and when his wife found out he was buying a motorcycle she stopped it. He had told me prior to purchasing the bike that he was serious about purchasing the motorcycle but when his wife said no he wimped out and stopped all contact with me. I'm not sure what quality his dental work is but I can tell you that when a person of his education level enters into a contract to purchase something he should realize the repercussions of his actions. He didn't care for any of the trouble he put me through. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for an honest dentist. Good luck, Keith

I got my braces done in here when I was 12-14. The problem I had here was when I my braces taken off, the dentist caused sooo much pain on one of my front teeth. The metal bracket wouldn’t come off, so he yanked and yanked until it came off. I immediately complained about the pain. But he dismissed it. Even days after that, my tooth hurt so much and i even noticed a discoloration. I saw him again a week later, told him about the problem. Again, he dismissed it and said everything was fine. He seemed annoyed now. Anyways, little ole me just left it alone. Fast forward a few years later, I’m seeing a dentist again but in bootcamp and they notice something is wrong with my front tooth. They took xrays and saw that my nerve was practically dead. I had to take a sensitivity kind of test, but because there was a tiny sense of life left, they didn’t have to do a root canal. Anyways, I knew something was wrong as soon as the braces came off. And Dr. Patel ignored it to probably not get in trouble with malpractice.
