Johnston and Murphy Dental Care

I had a pleasant experience at Johnston and Murphy Dental Care. From the reception to the attending dentist, Mr. Murphy, I felt welcome and at ease. This says a lot as I have had bad experiences at previous dental clinics. I definitely recommend Johnston and Murphy for your dental needs.

I had a fantastic experience today at my first appointment. Their receptionist is nice and was able to get me in within three days of my original call. When I arrived, I waited less than 5 minutes to be taken to the back. My Hygienist, Allison, was extremely kind. She explained my options thoroughly and made me feel comfortable and informed. She was even empathetic and reassuring when I became a bit emotional due to anxiety surrounding the dentist. Dr. Murphy came in and explained very clearly what my options would be, as well as the potential price of everything. He did not make me feel rushed or like my questions were stupid. I felt seen and heard, and It felt like they actually cared about me as a patient. I will absolutely be returning here for all future dental work and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area that is looking for a new dentist!

Yesterday on 8/7/24 I visited this dental office and I was was very nervous but overcame it before leaving. The front desk staff was nice, the dental assistant was amazing and sweet and the dentist was very engaging and even asked me to tell him a little about myself. He made me feel like he really cared and that made me feel special. I would advise anyone who is looking for a great dental office to try them out they are amazing and I will be going back soon.

My visit was the first time I have been there and it was wonderful all the way around. The technology is great, the people are incredible and the communication exemplary. My wife and five year old go here too and they even have my kid enjoying his visits. 100% recommend to anyone, especially people who have reservations about going to the dentist. They will make every effort to make you feel comfortable and give you peace of mind.

As a first time patient it was a wonderful time reconnecting w Suzy after being away from Ruston for the last thirty years. She did a wonderful job evaluating my needs and cleaning my teeth. Dr Lamar was professional and kind. I was treated by his father a long time ago. I highly recommend this dental group.

I have a huge fear of going to the dentist and have to psych myself up to even call and schedule appointments. I am very impressed and satisfied with my experiences at Johnston and Murphy Dental Care. The receptionist who initially booked my appointment went above and beyond and was kind and friendly while we figured out my insurance issue. I was in pain and they got me in fast and got me back in fast to resolve my issue. My experience with my procedure was really good. They made sure that I was ok and comfortable the whole time. Most importantly, I felt welcome and not judged. Sometimes when going to a dentist the vibe just isn’t right and you can feel judged and uncomfortable, especially if you have dental issues. I didn’t feel any of that in the slightest and I greatly appreciate their kindness. I even received a call from the dentist himself the next morning and that was a first for me that I appreciated. I definitely recommend them and even though it’s an hour drive for me I will be going back to get routine care for my family and I.

This was my first time at Johnston and Murphy Dental Office and the service was absolutely amazing! They were gentle with everything they did and also will help keep my teeth healthy and recreate my smile. I’m excited to go back! I have always felt so comfortable and welcomed coming to Johnston and Murphy. Today I had a filling pop loose, they fit me in towards the end of the day no problem. I was in & out the door within an hour. Very hospitable, professional and welcoming.
